PvP Healing: Disc/holy or Holy/disc?Follow

Hey everyone. I'm a PvE shadow priest at the moment, full epics raiding The Eye and SSC. I've healed for about 1.5 years before TBC came out, and I healed all the old raids like Naxx and AQ40. I've also hit rank 10 in PVP back in the days of ranks. But now TBC is here, and I'm very rusty at PvP/Arena, and I'd like to get back into it. I'm looking for a strong Arena healing build, focused on survivability. Right off the bat I'd look to the Disc tree because it's full of survival talents, but nowadays there's also talents in the Holy tree, too that could save my neck. My question is just a comparison of builds; Disc/Holy or Holy/Disc.

I'm gonna link a couple experiment builds, and it would be great if someone with Arena experience could give me some tips on how to tweak it. Thanks for responding :D!

I see you havn't put any points in mana burn, and that is proberly one of the disc/holy most powerfull spells..

I'm thinking about something similar to you.

My current front runner of a build is this:

I like going deeper into holy as it makes you more viable in PvE.

In your holy build you've got lolwell, any reason? ALso metal agility?

With my build i think CoH is worth getting, an instant cast heal is VERY helpful in arena. As holy, mana burning is a great way of drawing out a counterspell etc, also most enemy healers will hate you doing it.

Stack up on LOTS of stam, i hear 10k is a good marker.

Good luck, hope thats of some help :)

I rather like that build actually. The reason I had lolwell is 'cause it's one damn point, it'll take effects from Bonus +heals, it's a big heal, and if you're running around, it's a nice HoT with 5 charges. Yeah dmg takes it away but everything counts. although I don't think it persists through the priest's death, but if I get CCed in any way, bam there's a lightwell. Dunno, think it's handy for 1 pt.

I def agree with getting imp mana burn though.

Yes lightwell has it's uses, but being so far down in holy all the talents around it just seem so much better. I would expect in arena as if you need a heal your getting beaten on, i which case a lolwell is useless.
