40-58 prot levelling...Leg Armor vs. SpellthreadFollow

I'm assuming for outlands I will more than likely want spellthread on my legs, as every +damage I can get makes the grind faster. However, for the 40-58 grind where I'll probably just be getting intellect and stamina (because there isn't much SD plate gear) would the +25 damage really make a whole lot of difference? At that point I'm getting basically 2 damage per tick on consecrate, 1 damage per block of holy shield, and 5 damage a hit on SoR (which I probably wont be using in favor of those lovely wisdom/light seals and judgements, unless I'm tanking...which wont happen much). But with the leg armor, I save around 40-50g apiece (50-60g vs. 100-110g on the AH for the leg armor / spellthread, respectively) and I get more stamina.

So...is it worth the extra expense to get the spell damage pre-outlands?

I wouldn't spend a lot of money enchanting anything that you're just going to grow out of quickly, unless you have an obscene amount of money to throw around and don't know what else to spend it on.

It's not worth the money pre-70, even if you have an obscene amount of money. Cause frivolous spending like that is what makes you have no money. However if you are dead-set on getting an enchant for your legs, sure, go for the spelldamage, though you probably won't notice much of a difference and you will probably get better pants as you level up that you won't get cause you speant so much money on the spellthread.

That's why I never get enchants on my stuff, I do however buy rares, and a prett amount of them, but just the good ones that I know will power up my leveling, or if they are really cheap, or free.

Im also extremely mad because some shaman told me he would send me http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13046 CoD for 25 gold, so I was all like "YAY SUPER LEVELING!!" but he never did, and he hasnt logged on for 3 weeks...

I dont go and enchant all my gear or get geared up in all blues. But I will get blues in the MH/OH(or shield)/Ranged slot, and I will do the leg enchants.

That's too fast anyway, you can get better stuff.

I'm one of those crazy persons who does not have a healty relationship with gold. I have my all maxet out hunter (atainable gear + enchants, and still with +1k gold) (raiding only), so all my gold goes to boosting my pala. He now has his third weapon with crusader enchant, and alot of other outland enchants on his gear (he is a enchanter, so I just send all the green crap I get on my main while doing dayli quests)(I allso fool around with a lvl 70 rogue friend of mine, duoing stuff we where not supposed to :P - giving me all the ubah gear for the next many levels to come + mats for all my dumn as s enchants :P). I think the twink up or not all comes down to how you look at the game. I like to be ubah, at all costs. I like going into instances with dps 4 or 5 level higher then me, and still be able to hold aggro (last time I was even second on the dps chart - how odd as it sounds). Atm I have had all epic shields (I'm lvl 56 now) - with shieldspike (or 18 block now, since I'm only doing instances!), and I don't regred a thing. I look forward everyday to come home and play with my ubah geared (for his level) paladin.

Just for the record - No! I don't buy gold. No! I don't glide - hard earned cash (or just selling lw crafts for overprices :P)

The time you spend making this post + the time it takes to get someone to make the spelltread etctakes more time than the gain you actually get from the enchant. Go go grind! =)
