Hunter pvpFollow

I've been off my hunter for a while (been playing on my mage a bit) and i just started pvping again. We lost every match i was in (Horde always seems to loose on Dethecus, people are too busy trying to kill, and not win), but thats besides the point. I was wondering, how do you play your hunter in pvp? I was able to pump out enough damage, it was just keeping some classes away that annoyed me. I was good with the jump shooting and the strafe kiting, but i found it dificult for my fingers.

So i was wondering, what keys do you use to do common functions, such as running, targeting, and straffing. I use the typical WASD for moving and i either use arrows or mouse to turn and Q and R to strafe. Is it harder to use blizz's defaults for hunter pvping?

Any advice would help.
