just hit 70 and started a 2v2 team to try to get some decent gear, so far with limited success. Druids are unbelievable, its either cyclone or roots while they finish off my partner and it seems there isnt alot i can do. if
i trinket out of cyclone they root me to the ground and once thats worn off
they just cyclone me again. 2 rogues are just as bad with backstap/gouge while they drill me.

So far based on how we've been going it will be a while before we start to gather any arena gear with decent stats/resilliance and so i expect a lot more losses.

what tips and tactics do you guys use that could help me get more success in arena?
Should i just run instances till i get better gear?

seeing as how most pve dps gear is skewed towards strength and not much stam, i don't think instance gear would help you much. i myself am stuck with using a pve dps set for now, and the lack of stam is killing me (literally). i would suggest grinding honor for veteran's gear, as they offer a good amount of str/stam/resilience.

otherwise, in the absence of better gear, i would try to remember that timing is everything... for instance, when you get cycloned, try to time the trink out when the druid is about to cast a big heal, then you can have your 3 sec stun from intercept, land a hammy, do some damage and interrupt his heals at the same time. or, use your fear at the start and if they are not immune, hopefully they waste a trink out of that and then your teammate can use another cc with success.

what you COULD do is level up blacksmithing for deep thunder or lionheart champion. the stun or extra attack proc should help your dps out considerably in arena.

Thanks for the reply mate

I've got the veterans bracers and belt and am using the lionheart blade currently( with plans to upgrade to champion asap) But the rest of my gear lets me down i feel, ive only got 20% crit, 7300 armor and 9k health. Ill continue to grind bg's to get all vetrans plate gear but i think my armor mitigation is letting me down big time

Which is more important in arena - commanding shout for extra health or battleshout for more dps?
And should i be using thunderclap and demo shout liberally?

Ive read a few previous posts that suggest wacking on a shield when focus fired, but i thought i read that with the upcomming patch changing gear in arena will no longer be possible? wouldnt that be like a druid not being able to change to bear form....?

Keeping the MS debuff on your primary DPS focus target is as important as staying alive.

Druids may not think it, but they are seriously overpowdered in 2v2. Cyclone is horrible, and they heal, and they have roots, and they... I said ***** it after last season. PvP in wow is so unbalanced by class and gear...
