Hi all,

I'm a healadin getting my gear ready for Kara and heroics and wondering if I should go all out to get the best healing plus I can or if a mix is better.

Three items, http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=28069&locale=enUS;source=live, http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=29342 and http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=23524&locale=enUS;source=live give me (with gems)

2156 armour, 59 Int, 42 Sta, 156 healing and 20 Mana reg, whereas the full Khorium ward set gives me

2459 Armour, 70 Int, 103 Sta, 139 healing and 27 Mana reg.

Normally I would take the Khorium Ward set (pants, belt and boots), but should I take the first three for that extra healing bonus or is it more important to have a balance?

Thanks in advance.

PS. I apologise if this has already been discussed, but I don't have time to read through every post, my game time is limited enough as it is :(

The consortium legs are really good, I used them myself until I got tier 4. Though they added some pants called Starcaller's Plated Legguards which are better than those, but they weren't in the game when I was trying to get kara gear. Its from a quest in netherstorm, I'll let you look it up. Try to stay away from damage/healing unless you are actually trying to dps (which you shouldn't if you're a healer). Get +healing stuff, even if it means you have to wear cloth for a short time. If you want a general guide at instance stuff you can get your hands on, go to www.wow-loot.com its an old site (over a year old), not as frequently talked about anymore, but its a really good place to get started.

If you REALLY want I can go slot by slot and tell you the best stuff to have, but I've said that about 6 times in these forums so far, so I'm gonna let you see if you can figure it out on your own first.

I've just done the quest in Netherstorm and I'm so glad I did. I had the Khorium pants and I was slightly reticent about dropping the mp5 for the extra healing but it really makes a difference. Add Golden or Runic spellthread to them and they'll last you for ages.

I would strongly advise against the Khorium Ward set.

First because, as mentioned above, SpellDmg/Heal won't nearly be as good as straight +Heal.

Second because as soon as you'll get rid of a single piece it'll break your set bonus and both remaining pieces will instantly become much worse all of a sudden.

There are better individual pieces for all those slots anyway. :P

OK, thanks all.

I know about the quest in Netherstorm for the plate legs and am currently on it :).

I would however greatly appreciate opinions as to the best pieces for the waist and boots slot, any advice would be gratefully recieved :)

Waist you have a couple options Girdle of Divine Blessing which you can buy off the AH, level 65 item but I used it for a long, long time or Girdle of Many Blessings from heroic SP I think it was.

Boots I had a little more trouble getting, I just ended up using the cloth ones from the cache in mech.

Personally, I went with the PvP epics. They're pretty much on-par with the equivalent that drops inside Kara. (Got the Veteran stuff, might upgrade to the new stuff once it goes live)

I'd still suggest rolling on the Kara equivalent if they drop and there isn't another Pally who'd need them a lot more. PvP and PvE aren't exactly the same and the Resilience found on the PvP gear is usually traded for some Mp5 or something like that. There may be exceptions, though, where the PvP gear will still be better. (I *think* the boots in Kara are inferior, would have to check)
