#1 Nov 04 2007 at 7:47 PM Rating: Decent
hello.

I rerolled a warrior again because I freaked up my last build ona warrior..I was all over the place (first char)

Now I am at lv 7 and was wondering wats a great build I can start doing.

Once im lv 70 I wanna do end game stuff like raid and tank instances.

but for now as long as I can do a decent job at tanking and leveling and being a good warrior im fine with that.

People are telling me to go DW Fury but I don't know whats a good build for it...Can you guys all agree on a good build for me plz.

thanks

At your level, people who tell you to do that are idiots.
You should be going 2h(arms or fury) until at least the 50's.
This is a good place to start for 2h (Arms is better than fury to start off with IMO)

uhm, no, fury is DEF the best place to START. [hello, 5% crit?!?]

get cruelty first and then consider either going TWO HAND fury [best for leveling once you get imp. slam] or arms.

you can also go arms afterwards and then switch over to imp. slam once you have enough talent points.

since you can redistribute your talent points for a small fee in game, a leveling build is much different from an end game build.

The first 5 points on any build (1-70 no talent is point for point as good for dps that low in a tree) is usually cruelty.

But as you look at the fury tree, nothing is immediately useful. In fact nothing all that useful for leveling occurs until enrage. suure blood craze may look good, but it's totally faking you out. and piercing howl is nice, but it's got very limited applications (PvP).

Arms has got a lot of goodies in it that help with leveling. 5% parry is very nice, as your still only wearing mail (low mitigation), and parry halves the time it takes for your next attack (at least for now). imp HS is nice since HS is ALL you have for many levels. Imp charge is very nice for grinding. imp overpower is also very good, as it's the only other ability you have besides HS for many levels.

So... I'd save getting anything in the prot tree until much later in your career as a warrior. Say, 35+ or so. When you get all three stances, you can start to think about getting some points in TM.

The warrior FAQ in this forum has more specific level related talent point builds and explainations why.

There are 2 ways to level up really effectively: 2handed Fury or 2handed Arms.
Either way I suggest you put your first 5 points in cruelty.

If going 2handed Fury, just grab the talents you have chosen in the Fury tree until you get to imp. slam. Once you get imp slam you will see an almost doubling in your dps/leveling. Then you can continue up Fury all the way to Rampage. then dipping into Arms for deflection, Imp. TC and Deep Wounds/Impale.

Alternatively you can just go up Arms getting MS and your weapon specialisation. I suggest swords or Poleaxe (I prefer poleaxe) for leveling and maces for PvP at later levels.

Either option is viable for leveling and you can always switch around and try the other option if you have a change of heart.

**Disclaimer: While you can DW while leveling, the miss chance makes it less viable and extremely frustrating and therefor a less desirable option**
