Patch 2.3; Hemo viable for grinding as well?Follow

As the title states, I've read a lot of the theorycrafting on here about how hemo will be out-damaging combat swords in the near future... and that it is also enegery efficient. I suppose what I'm wondering is, what would the spec look like for grinding?

I've been combat almost since day 1, and I love it... but being relatively new to the rogue game, I'm not sure what to expect with a change in spec. Does it change play-style completely? And, when the dust settles... will I be OK with my combat swords build, or would I be better off speccing hemo to grind through the 40s, 50s, and 60s?

Thanks in advance for the help! I'm not looking for t3h l33t pwnz, just whatever will expediate and simplify my trip to seventy and beyond! =)

Short Answer: No

Long Answer: No, because you need to go 21 points into sub just to get hemo. What are you going to use to level until you get it? You're going to be level 31 by that point, and I know from trying to reroll a rogue that a 45 energy SS is just painful. >_< You're probably better off to roll combat swords because the talents make it so the moves you already have get better, which gives you an immediate benefit and some goodies further on. The first 10 talents of SUB aren't that good anyway unless you're rolling a dagger and if you're hemo, then you're not.

You'll be better served to stay combat until you're 70 anyway because the hemo builds discussed in other threads don't work well until all the talents are in place. Just hang in there and if hemo's all it's cracked up to be respec at 70.

Awesome, thanks guys. I'm sorry if the question seemed a bit silly... it's just that I was looking at it as an option.

You know, come to think of it... I do recall hearing that hemo would beat out a SS build only after good gear. I suppose it slipped my mind. It looks as though I'll stay combat swords for the present =) I can always respec later!
