When I am dual wielding (level 14) I keep on seeing miss when I am in combat (About 75% of my swings hit). Is it supposed to happen?
One more question:
Is a crossbow better than throwing objects?

You have a base 24% chance to miss while dual wielding.
As for ranged weapons, it doesn't matter in the least. Until you can get stats on them, just pick the highest damage one you can find, as you'll likely only hit the mob once to pull it.
