Yes, you're awfully confused.

Moonkin form you get from 30 talent points in the balance tree. You CANT heal as a moonkin, so I dunno what that's all about...

Feral is super for solo-ing. High armor, high attacks...good stuff. Many druids choose to be feral for that purpose.

Balance is great if you have a group that you work with on a regular basis (like me, I am more likely to be working with at least one other person than alone). High DPS, and once you get moonkin you're like a casting tank.

Resto is good if you work with a group that needs a healer. Druid healing spells when specc'd healing rival that of a preist's amd are in HUGE demand (as I'm sure you've seen on the LFM channel)

Lastly....do what you want to do! Don't let others dictate your gaming experience. I am personallt balance specc'd, and LOVE it. Good luck! :)

My druid is lvl 53 and I've been straight balance since about lvl 15. I can crank out pretty good DRS (usually right behind the rogue or mage in groups) and also solo with relatively no problem. With a couple +healing items, I can also easily heal instances. (I have only done through BRD, so i don't know about higher lvl instances). I also PVP. So, balance is great versatility. You can do pretty much anything, and that really helps you get into groups (dps or heal), and gives you a lot of choices of how to play. Feral would probably be better if you're going for a specific experience, but if you vary your play style a lot, I'd say go balance.
