hello, to whoever is reading this.
i have a lvl 31 Paladin & I cant wait till I hit lvl 40 to get my "free" mount & I was just wondering.
A) is it really free?
B) is there a quest to do to obtain the mount?
Also with the lvl 60 mount i know theres a quest for that & i waswondering if someone could link me the quest.
Any help would be much appreciated :)

For locks and pallies, the level 40 mount and training is simply a spell taught by a class trainer for 90s.
I don't know anything about the pally's epic mount quest though. If it's anything like the lock's, it's long, annoying, and barely possible to get a PUG for. I ended up just buying the mount.. which really annoyed me as I eventually did get the dreadsteed too.

Yep the level 40 mount coasts what your other lvl 40 spells cost to train.
You don't say if you're alliance or horde. For the alliance epic quest, here are a couple of guides: One and the other

If you're a belf it's going to be significantly easier. The holy water for alliance pretty much just sucked. It's BoP so you have to get it yourself. You can't get a PUG, if you DO get a PUG then they're all tools, and half of the time they'll raid all the chests and then leave group when they get their water (we're talking non-paladins here just getting them for some random EPL quest) they bail.
That said though, it was a blast and I'm glad I did it. After several crappy PuGs to get (and failing to get enough) holy waters, my guildies took pity and I think we knocked out the waters one night and then the DM and Scholo bits in about 2 hours. It took us longer to GET to DM than it did to do the quest piece :-)

40 mount is free.
60 Mount will cost about 400-600g worth of mats and force you to run 2 dungeons that no one even looks at anymore, so make sure you have friends lined up to help you or else it is almost easier to spend an extra 100g and buy and epic mount cause you will never pick up group the quest.
