Kara ready?Follow

I'm attuned for Kara and I was wondering if the gear I have is up to par...I'm getting the FSW Robe soon and I'm trying to replace the 2-3 greens I have fast.

IMO no, but the answer depends on your guild too. If your guilds not farming it, I don't think you're ready. Get everything enchanted, stop burning your own level 180 enchants on your gear.

Minimum (imo)

Helm - 22 spell hit 14 spell damage
Shoulders - 13 spell crit, ideally get the exalted inscription
Cloak - 20 spell pen, this ones not critical
Chest - 150hp or 6 stats
Bracers - 15 spell damage (ideal) 12 stam (decent)
Weapon - 40 spell damage
Gloves - 20 spell damage or 15 spell hit
Pants - Mystic Spellthread (good), Runic Spellthread (better)
Boots - 12 stam

I think someone in full quality blues with full enchants is ready for kara. Epics help even more, but I would still work on getting everything enchanted.

Now can you start kara? Probably. I would still go every week if possible, but I'd also work my butt off getting everything enchanted in between. Heres what I would do:

- finish last FSW piece
- get those enchants while working on aldor/scryer rep
- while doing those, run mech to revered for helm enchant
- work on enchanting next, to 360+ for ring enchants
- work on spellstrike

My old guild had some minimum stats as a guid for Kara:
600 Spell Damage
100 hit
15% crit
7k HP/ 7k MP
~~~~
You can def. improve with some enchants and spell thread. Another good idea would be since you are close to revered with Scryer and Sha'tar, get the 2 trinkets from them. You are really close to revered with COT and they have a decent caster sword and off-hand would make a good weapon
EDIT:wrong faction listed at first
Definitely work on replacing those bracers you are using. Get the pvp veteran's bracers or have the bracers of havok crafted.
There are definitely many places for improvements before you step into Kara.
Get some better gear first, and get it enchanted. Finish FSW, get the Spellstrike set, enchant them up, and get *good* gems in them (Glowing Nightseye, Potent/Veiled Nobled Topaz, Runed Living Ruby). That should be enough to get you started.
Beyond that, here's some other stuff:
Neck - Heightened Potential from Slabs (more +hit), or the PvP (I'd hold out till S3 myself); the one you have is good enough for a while though
Back - Sethekk Orcale's from Sethekk Halls (+hit), or Baba's of Arcanistry from Mech (+crit) would be minor upgrades
Wrist - Bracers of Havok from a tailor, and farm the honor to get the S3 bracers as soon as they come out
Waist - Expensive option is Girdle of Ruination; alternatively the one from Steamvaults (Sash of Serpentra) or Heroic Mana-Tombs (Glyph-Lined) and start farming the badges for the 2.3 one; the best and really expensive option is to buy a Belt of Blasting from a TK/SSC guild for a few thousand gold
Ring - Sparking Arcanite from Heroic Durnholde, Exalted CE, Spirit Shards ring
Trinket - Badges trinket, Wuag's Eye from Heroic UB, Revered Sha'tar trinket
Weapon - Sword from Murmur with offhand from either badges or Arcatraz
