Last night our guild took down Moroes and then went on to tackle the Crone for the first time.
However using the same gear for both boss fights I got the following reports.

Moroes, (My damage)

Note that on the Moroes fight 15.3% of My fireballs missed. This was the gear I used.

It gives me an extra 7.85% hit, I have 3% hit through elemetnal precision so my hit % on bosses should be 93.85%. In theory those fireball should have missed 6% of the time not 15% as indicated.

Was I just unlucky or is there something I am missing (pardon the pun). :D

Well, remember that we're talking statistics here. It is possible, but unlikely that you would have a string of misses. We tend to remember the statistical oddities (like the time you critted 5 straight times).

I think you just got unlucky. I see that you don't have a lot of +hit gems, and I'd replace the +crit with +hit as they will increase your dps. Also, I see you have just started with enchanting and have no other profession. Get tailoring and level it as you will not replace any of that with Kara gear. It costs a small fortune, but go out and kill blood elves or something to get netherweave as well as stuff to sell. The tailored epics are unbelievable.
