I just ran heroic Bot and got a plus 9 healing plus 5 spirit gem. Is that better or worse than the plus 9 healing plus 2mp5 gem?

mp5 is much more important for a pally than spirit

For a Pally, Spirit is pretty useless. As a Holy Pally, you don't have any talent that allow natural mana regen while casting.

Mp5 does exactly that though, so it's better.
