Mongoose proc quesiton...Follow

Hey, I run a dps warrior on Thrall, and I know mongoose is probably the best end-game dps enchant at the moment, but I'm not quite sure how the proc works with certain abilities....

I've read that it has a "PPM" based on attack speed, and that it's estimated to run at 2 procs per minute, but only if you're just using auto-attack. This PPM works out a %chance to proc based on attack speed, and the same % is applied to weapon abilities (WW, MS, OP, Exec, Ham..). It has thus been reasoned that it is better to pack slower weapons, as this will give you a higher %chance on hit applied to your instant attacks, and will thus give you more procs from instant attacks. I'm pretty sure I have this understood, but correct me if it's flawed...

My main question - is the %chance on hit based on BASE attack speed, or does it scale down when haste abilities are applied, such as SnD, Flurry or the haste metagem?

PPM

Read the 'instant attacks' section.

Cool, thanks for the link... I see that I wasn't too far off in my understanding of PPM and instant attacks, and that section actually gave me a good idea of the answer to my actual question as well - that the %chance to proc probably does change when buffs change the weapon speed.
