Thanks so much for the advice. Now when i'm ready to raid. Can I leave it like that or will I need to respect to Marks for raiding. I've heard marksmens has really fallen out of popularity. I love archery. But as far as soloing i'll stick to the build you showed me. Also would I need to stick with a 2h weapon or would it be ok to dual wield. I figure 2 agi swords would be great. What is the best hunter race on the alliance. Right now I'm NE but hate questing in darkshore =(. Thanks again and why was it when I would type something into my sig it would make my box so big and take up so much room.

What is the best hunter Alliance race or does it really even matter. I'm NE right now but hate questing in darkshore. I am more Stormwind then any thing lol. Plus why is it when I type in something for a sig it makes my box so big using up to much space.

I didn't want to start a new thread for a quick question, so:
What's the ideal adjusted attack speed for a 3:2 rotation?
I've been actively reading on this forum since last summer, but still get sadly lost on the EJ hunter threads. I know some of you have stayed up to date on those forums and others, so a quote or just a paraphrase is all i ask for.

thanks in advance.

EDIT: if you'd like to add a little more than the basic info to this reply, you can consider 200ms latency and add an appropriate macro or explanation as how to perform a 3:2 rotation with the suggested speed.

I also have a question. Well 2 questions if I may. One I try to log onto the Wow.com armory and it says I can't view the xml sheet. Fix it and hit refresh. Like right now I don't see anyones name next to any of the posts. 2 is Pathfinding or thick hide worth it. This is currently my build.

Thanks. I think my pc is messed up.

The armory is really buggy. Works only half of the time for me as well, so don't worry about that.

It seems as you are leveling your hunter. Thick hide is a nice talent while leveling since your pet acts as your tank most of the time (this will change at lvl 70 and that is the reason why thick hide usually is not included in beastmaster talent builds).
Pathfinding is pretty useless. It gives only a 8% speed buff for two talent points. And at level 40 you get your land mount and from then on you won't use those aspects very often (I use it to travel in some instances now and then, most of the time however you don't have to walk very far in instances or you can use your mount).

If you want more info than here, but EJ is to confusing you should definately give TKA a shot.
It has all the info EJ has but with less math and more explaining.

As for the 3:2 rotation.... I honestly wouldnt know.
Some people say a 2.0 speed is perfect while SV also uses it with a 3.0 weapon and 80 passive haste.
It just requires testing...

I looked at the cookie cutter link posted and found one that is linked alot too and it's still the 41/20/0 but the talents are mixed a little different.

Here's 1 and 2.

The difference is with Rapid Killing and Imp. Hunters Mark. I was just wondering what opinions you have.

The 2nd one is not very good. focused fire (2% extra damage) is a lot better than some additional health you don't need.
Furthermore rapid killing is nice because it shortens your rapid fire CD from 5min to 3min.
Whether you spec for 5/5 hunters mark or 5/5 efficiency depends on your raid. In some raids BMs are grouped with shadow priests or always have a ret pally. Then they won't need efficiency and can safely spec improved hunters mark. If you however do not have a shadow priest or ret pally and additionally have to put up scorpid sting mana could become a problem and efficiency could help there. => It really depends on your situation to decide which talent to skill.
Furthermore only one hunter per raid has to have improved hunters mark, all other hunter can go for efficiency (and whoever has the least problems with mana should go for improved hunters mark).

I'll probably have to go with Imp Mark as the other hunters in my kara group are both in Survival for better CC so I'll have to figure out what specs they have. Also I didn't notice the difference in the BM tree until I was ready to do my BM talents.

Thanks for clearing that up too.

Does anyone have a good PvP spec they want to share. I'm currently BM/MM, but am going to be grinding the BGs for some gear. I'm thinking that Marks is good, but what to pair it with. I may also dabble in arenas, don't know for sure tho.

So who wants to rewrite the FAQ for the Lich King edition? (Assuming Mulgrin doesn't want to do it, of course.)

Not in the Beta. Couldn't contribute anything beyond copypastes, really.

Mainly a Marks and BM build would be better for arena and PvP.

I might try it, I don't know if it would be good enough for the standards though. Assumung it's time consuming it might take me a quite a while to do it as well.

I want to wait a bit until WotLK actually launches, I don't believe it is a good idea to update the content during the first days/weeks of WotLK.
Currently I plan to level to 80 really fast and push into raiding rather early. Thus I might not have time to update the FAQ to WotLK.
But there are a lot of good hunters around here who can contribute a lot.
If we can do the same thing as in BC, the FAQ should be up to date without bigger problems.
