I'm playing a Mage lvl 60 now and have been using this build. Here's the wow talent site HERE My thought is put 5 points in each line and move down the tree as fast as possible, get the last talent, then splash another tree. I like fire for dps and arcane for the clear cast. Just looking for input from others.

Well uh...first off, if you're going to PvE, get Improved Fireball. Secondly, Ignite is crap when not maxed, and third off, Fire Power 3/5? You chose one point in Molten Fury over the overall 10% damage of fire? Nu-uh. I'd go with something like
this

I'll go through the changes and edits since I'm at it...

5/5 Ignite: Don't get points in this without maxing it. Maxing it is what makes it so great.

5/5 Improved Fireball > Impact: IF you're going to do more PvE than anything else, Impact is worthless. You will probably be killing anything in 2-3 hits with some spelldamage gear which you pick up as you go along in the outlands.

5/5 Fire Power > Blazing Speed: Sure, Blazing Speed is a nice lifesaver sometimes, but it isn't nearly as good as 4% more firedamage overall.

4/5 Empowered Fireball: This will be the one you max out when you hit 61, after that you can go for Blazing Speed or the like if you wish.

Anyway, that's my 2c, such a build worked awesomely for me. Good luck!
