Hit 70 respec. holy and now....Follow

Yeah now what? Obiously I joined as a more or less first time healer (since like Scarlet monastery or something) and made a total fool out of myself as the gear I had was definitely not good enough for healing a more difficult instance like SL or SV (i guess the skill is not yet 100%)

After having red and weeped over an overloaded chatt log filled with sympathies from well educated and less comprehensive teammembers all stone dead with busted gear, i decided to get better healing gear.

A quick peek on fellow preists gear and supported by this site I figured getting the cool looking super gear is a long long term project.

Since it took me 13 months to lvl from 1-70 ( i don´t play to frequently) I figured cars gonna be flying and toilets self flushing before I get the targeted stuff.

So anyone have a good idea of easy and accesible healing gear (qs or instance drop) which is not to tedious to get?

You could always look up yourself on www.wowarmory.com and they'll suggest upgrades and where you can get them. To get started, hit the AH. You'd be suprised at how much good +healing gear is out there. But the unfortunate reality is that you're going to have to start off in some of the lower instances to get the blues to be able to heal through places like Slabs, Mech, etc. I'm 70 Spriest and I've been trying to keep a decent healing set going as I level and it's at about +600. That's all greens, so that should be attainable off the AH.

You may want to consider power leveling the tailoring skill in addition to hitting the AH. The BoP purples.. Primal Mooncloth Set rivals T5 gear. The primals are a pain, but well worth it imho. The Netherweave and Imbued netherweave sets are also very good healing sets to keep you going while you're waiting for either a drop from an instance or to get enough primals for your primal mooncloth set.

Yes, get to the AH and see what you can pick up. I have yet to get into any outlands instances with my priest (my normal groupies hate instances with a passion) but I have +650 healing on the gear I have just from drops and quest rewards... so the AH would be a good start.

Agreed. Once your tailoring is up, the primal mooncloth set is easy to make. If you don't have the recipes for the Whitemend set, you can have another tailor craft it for you with your mats, their nether.

That would give you 5 epics, and your +healing would be very respectable. It will take some cash and time to get there (I made my primal mooncloth but bought my other mats), but you can work on it one piece at a time, no hardcore play required.

Also check the armory for possible upgrade items. You should be able to get some good upgrades from many of the instances and the AH, as well as rep rewards.

With nothing but green +healing/spirit/intellect gear from the AH, you'll be able to heal most instances just fine, although you'll be drinking a lot of water and pots. As a lower-geared priest, I strongly suggest going Disc. till the Improved Spirit Buff, which also helps with the +healing and mana/5. All in, how well you heal depends more on skill and the migration of the party. I remember a time where I healed Arca in shadow gear (with a holy spec... need to start somewhere with the gear) and I never fell below 40% mana, while a Durnhold run in my current gear (blues and a rare epic) left me drinking every third step; the tank had TERRIBEL migration. All in, instances remain the best way for the gear; although yes, it can be a pain.

Start with the somewhat lower lvl instances (Durnhold for example) to build gear and healing experience. Then move up. And keep an eye on the AH.

Healing experience > healing gear any time.
Good tank with good gear > healing gear any time.
A party that knows what it's doing, with some CC in the mix > healing gear any time.
