Only 2 more levels until I get my flight form and I am more excited to get it than ever. Mostly do I don't fall off that damn aldor lift anymore!

It's so annoying having to stop and tip toe onto the lift, lest it leave *just* as you run out into space and fall to unavoidable death. All the while knowing that someone from the other faction is watching and getting a pretty good kick out of it.

Being able to shift into flight form on the long fall down will be EPIC. I will finally be able to jump off things for fun again!

Yeah flight form FTW. I always run off of the Aldor Rise and triumphantly shift at the last moment. Backfired on me once. I was waiting at the summon stone for Mana Tombs and I had just got my flight form. Flew way up and dropped. Hit my flight form hotkey just a second too late -SPLAT - right in front of my whole party. Talk about embarrassing. Well, that's what I get for showing off =P

A friend and I occaisionally play chicken while waiting for other people to turn up for an instance. We fly as high as possible then on the count of 3 we both shift out and fall. The person who shifts back to flightform closest to the ground without splattering wins. Ten times funnier when one of us leaves it a fraction too late!

When floating above the summoning stone for TK instances I like to shiftcaster to cast buff some random horde and then shift back. I works really great unless you get a lag spike or are not watching your mana and end up not having enough to shift back.

OH yeah, I do that all the time, I swear, I had one write "NOOOO!" as I jumped off, and I just laughed, switched to flight form, and flew up to him again, shifted to caster, did /wave, and shifted back before hitting the ground, that was fun :D

My most imbarassing moment since I got flyight form was when I did not know that as soon as you enter combat you cannot shapeshift to flight form again. So I shifted to caster, moonstriked a hordie that was floating next to me and then SPLUT! It was like a kamikaze strike (I die to dot you lol)

Haha, I had a similar experience in Hellfire Peninsula. I was freshly 68 and just got flight form and was doing the Hellfire Fortifications Daily PVP quest trying to capture the Overlook. There was a level 70 Hunter with me (we were both Alliance) when a level 70 Undead Warlock showed up. The 'lock summoned an Infernal and sent it after me while he Feared the Hunter. Shortly after he showed up we capped the Overlook and I got quest credit. As soon as Fear wore off, the Hunter took off on his mount. I didn't think I could take the Warlock on my own, so I jumped out of the window of the tower thinking I could shift to Flight Form and escape.

As soon as I left the tower, my mouse hovered over the icon and my heart sank almost as fast as my poor Night Elf did, "cannot be used while in combat." *splat*

A little bit later I was having fun in Nagrand. My friends and I had done a few group quests together and decided to help defend Halaa. All the guards were down and the Horde were starting to come in. They were somewhat disorganized though, and coming in packs of 2-3, easily dispatched by the fairly large group of Alliance defenders.

After they stopped coming, there was a flagged Horde Warrior on his flying mount, hovering just outside of Halaa, out of range from the ground. I shifted to Flight Form, flew above him as high as I could, then cast Moonfire. Unfortunately I fell faster than my cooldown could come up so I only hit him with one spell, but at least I splashed down safely in the water around Halaa. The first time anyway. The second time I tried, I happened to fall in the shallow part of the lake and went *splat* XD

And why is it that everytime I run off Aldor rise past some sucker waiting for the elevator, I always lag and can't get Flight Form to activate in time? Probably because I like waiting until the last moment to hit the button, but it never seems to happen when there's nobody waiting. XD
