Question on SL/SLFollow

#1 Oct 31 2007 at 7:44 PM Rating: Decent
Humble on asking some questions:
Currently, I m working on my SL/SL Lock (25/37/0). Not much to complain because for normal farming, it has almost 0 down time and it can handle 2 or 3 mobs all at once. But in PvP, I found 1 thing: whenever my pet die or being banished or somehow i sacrificed it, I becomes "powerless". The main reason is my gear is pretty green and there is a huge amount dmg boost from the Demon Knowledge (+130 spell dmg), Soul Link (5%) and also Master of Demon (10% for Scussy). So, when my pet is dead or banished, i lost these boost at once.
Now i m considering another alternative, still SL/SL Lock, but making (30/31/0) instead Shadow Mastery (10% Shadow spells), Soul Link (5%) and also Master of Demon (10% for Scussy). The focus is withdraw the DK, Fel Int, Fel Sta, but boost SM instead. The difference is, DK with FI and FS has a almost constant boost on + spell dmg (around 130~150) on all kind of magic dmg, while SM is always 10% on shadow dmg (so, i lose the boost on all fire spells).

So, could anyone tell me, 10% shadow dmg or 130~150 +spell dmg better? My gear is now giving me around 540 +spell dmg plus Fel Armor +130.

In PVP your sucubus will get 1 shotted by anyone, seduce is easy to interupt (lol any damage) and dots break seduce pretty much instantly...so I don't know why you would PVP with a sucubus.

If you're felhunter gets banished, you can resummon another, or wait for it to wear off. He has very high resistance (~240) so most of the banishes will be fully resisted. If a melee is killing your felhunter you can always summon another WHILE the melee is killing it. Like the second somebody starts attacking it (unless its a mage lawl), start summoning another.

No reason for you to sacrifice one in PVP..and you always have fel dom every 15 minutes so make use of that.

edit- I'm not a big fan of your new spec, but its up to you.

I did give you advice, SL/SL is better and PVP with a felhunter, if somebodies killing it start summoning a new one immediately.

This is my sl/sl build. You use mostly felhunter(mag resistance, silence, enemy buff eater, your debuff eater),you dont sacrifise it in pvp ,there is no reason for that.
Succy and her seduction in pvp is viable if you're destro and use direct damage spells ,no dots cuz they break seduce.

SO ,if u want to pvp you SHOULD have a pet ,you DONT need to but it gimps you.
In 5man,heroics,raids also i guess(wouldnt know, dont raid) its good idea to sacrifise succy to get +shadow dmg 0/21/40 build for that.

edit: remember that your felhunter gains HEALTH when devouring magic

My Arena Build.

SL/SL isnt about damage, its about who has the better healer. I assume your talking about arenas and not bgs? This spec is meant to outlast, not out damage. Keep dots up, use line of sight, make your fears also act as interrupts, etc etc. When your pet dies, pop Fel Dom and summon another.
It is common for me to sac my Felpup in arenas actually. If I see he is being targeted, and near death, I will dot/run out of LoS while I sac him, and let 3-4 ticks of the sacrifice tick on me. Will usually restore a little over 1500 mana, then I summon another. Just practice, anytime someone targets your pet, its a good thing, as thats time they spent not targetting you.
