I am familar with Bongos more than any other action bar addon, as I use it on my main (Warlock). I rolled a warrior awhile ago, and found out soon enough, that Bongos just won't cut it for that class. Bongos was not flexible with the adapting stances. I was told by a friend to try Bartender. It works very nicely with the warrior stances. This brings me to my question concerning Druids forms in relation to this addon...

Do any of your druids use the bartender addon? If so, does the bar change with the various forms, as it does with the Warriors stances?

I have been in much debate as to my next character I will be leveling... First it was Shadow priest, then Druid, then Warrior. I have silenced the notion of leveling a Priest. Pending on responses to my query, I may be rolling a Druid, due to there diverse and interesting playstyle. It would be nice if Bartender did indeed acommodate to the switching of forms (Much like it does with the Warriors stances)...

I personally use Bartender3 and I've had a lot of success with it. What I like about it is that not only does the main bar change from form to form, but it also changes from cat form to cat form prowling. I didn't get that from the default WoW UI, though that may have been a settings issue on my part.

Excellent! Thank you for the information. I am leaning toward Druid, after hearing that... They look like alot of fun to play for sure. In addition, Druids seem capable of leveling at an efficient rate (grinding mobs is an option in other words, with this class).

Thanks again Placeholder!

I use CTMods Barmod & BottomBar mod for this and it changes when you switch forms. Hopefully it keeps working as the CT guys don't seem to be doing much anymore.

Bartender is awesome for a druid. And it is ace2, which makes it even better.

Not only does it change bars, but you can specify excactly which bar you want to go with each form (10 bars total to choose from)

I use Bongos with my Druid, it is tricky to setup, but you can make it change any bars you wish based on your form. I've been using it with no problems for a while now.

Yep, and you can also make it so you get another bar while stealthed in cat form (like a rogue's normal action bar) I just went from bongos to bartender. Personally I never liked bongos at all, but I couldnt get CT to work so I went ahead and got it. When the last patch came out I was eager to find a new action bar mod and I must say I'm pretty content with bartender.

I have experienced one minor problem with it though. It seems the bars is exactly the same for all my characters. Meaning bar 1 is in the exact on both my druid and hunter. Unfortunately this is the case when it comes to the stance and pet bars. Its not to big a deal, but it can get a little annoying at times.

Can any of you UI modders that are proud of your setup post screenshots and/or 'splain what rocks the house about it?

I ask because I've looked into Bongos and the like, and none of the customized UIs I've ever seen in screenshots have seemed very good to me, letalone worth the effort. They always looks like random blocks or rows of icons with no "context" or structure, whereas the default UI is pretty well organized, imho.

Between the main action bar that already swaps by form and the use of the four other optional bars (two across the bottom of the screen above the exp bar and two along the right edge of screen) I have plenty of spots for everything I want to do, even professions stuff and the actions for the dailies that are only relevant when I'm on those quests. In fact I don't even use the multiple rows within the main action bar, I get by just fine with the ten spots of row 1.

Clearly you guys like your custom UIs so I want to make sure I'm not missing something. Sure wouldn't be the first time. Help me see the light.

Can't do a screenie as I am at work at the moment. The advantage of the bar mods is to be able to move them around to positions that suit you.

As well as that, I have scaled down a couple of my bars to put lesser used things on them so they take up less space. Things like my various foods & elixirs and other items that aren't needed in combat.

It is the flexibiltty that makes them so good.
