Stats for Kara and Heroics??Follow

I know that I saw a list somewhere, but can't recall at the moment.

What I am looking for are some stat values "required" to be effective in Kara and Heroics. I think I am getting pretty close, but I dont want to join a group and make an *** of myself and waste other people's time.

I am a Feral Druid and know that Def should be at or above 415. I got 417 + 28 resil also. The stats I can't remember are the health and armor. I currently have 20?K armor which equates to just under 66% damage reduction. Self buffed I have close to 12K health in bear form (with out enchants mind you, but some high end gems).

So if someone could fill me in on the "magic" numbers for health and armor I would appreciate it greatly. Or by all means link a site and I can look it up myself.

Thank you

I never tanked any heroics before respecing to heal, but i would guess 415 defense 20k armor and 13-14k health and probably about 25-30%dodge. so you would probably be fine, but i would upgrade a little more to be on the safe side.

BTW i dont think resilliance affects pve at all

Numbers given above sound about right.

It does. Resilience reduces the chance of being crit'd whether in PvE or PvP. It also reduces the damage you take from crits.

Thing is, in PvE you can negate crits entirely so Resilience becomes half-useless (damage reduction becomes worthless) and you're just better off with pure +Def. In PvP, people have 20-25% crit so you'd need a boatload of Resilience to negate it all, hence why it always remains useful in PvP.

Resilience can help in PvE to get you to the crit immunity cap, but once you are over the cap it does absolutely nothing. Defense over the cap is of slight use as it increases your chance to be missed and your chance to dodge. Overall though, Sta & Agi are better than defense once you are over the 415 cap.

Your stats look ok, but I would probably aim to lift your stam a little bit. Perhaps you have defense on some of your gems/enchants that could be switched seeing you are over the crit immunity cap. With a fort, stam food, blood pact & Elixir of Fortitude it will jump up a lot anyway.

Actually resilliance wouldn't be COMPLETELY useless in PvE after you reach crit immunity.

It would still reduce the damage from DoTs.

But it's only by a small amount, and it's not worth worrying about at all.

I think that's the key part.
So close to being useless that we can consider it useless. :P

Ahh....very true, I had forgotten about this change to resilience. Thanks for pointing it out :)
