PvP Videos and Tips?Follow

Since I probably wont be doing much with my hunter besides farming, I may do a bit of PvP just to spice things up. I'm usually the kind of guys who can do an instance or do a battleground and see how other classes play and pick up on it, so I can quickly learn to play another class (i.e. even though I've never played a rogue past 25, I could probably stunlock to a moderate degree). The problem is, every hunter I've encountered in BGs has been of the "I'll shoot them until they run up to me, then freak out or melee" or of the "I'll put my pet on them and run, then stop to shoot if they attack my pet" varieties. The first obviously means losing fights, and the second seems cowardly to me (kiting is one thing, but doing a no-skill equivilant is another).

So I was just wondering if there were any tips you guys had (besides the obvious "stay at range, wing clip, etc", such as how to get them to fall into my traps or specific tips for different classes...
and if there were any PvP videos you guys would suggest me watching? Preferably ones you can download, because streaming causes the quality of videos to drop to a level that rivals Paris Hilton's education.

Yashe's domination is a bunch of good oldschool hunter pvp.
Haven't seen any lvl 70 videos yet tho, but if you are patient, search "lvl 70 hunter pvp" and see what you get.

Skribs, if you're looking for something from a level 70 perspective, google "Pup Fiction 5."

Pup's a 70 orc hunter on Dunemaul, basically famous for 2-on-1 arena and some really bad-*** techniques. Hope this helps!

If you personally feel that you can glean something from pvp videos, then have at it.

I view them sort of like "And 1" mix tapes: I watch them for entertainment, not to become a better player.

Pvp videos are (generally) a collection of "greatest hits" taken from hours of recordings, and are usually only impressive because the opponent(s) makes fatal errors.

That's not to say I would completely dismiss the videos, only acknowledge that they can be very circumstantial.

I don't think anyone here could disagree that the fastest way to become a better player is to have in-game experience, preferably against someone who is a stronger player than you. You probably already know this, Skribs, but I just wanted to put it out there.

QFT!

Don't watch a best hits, for PVP advice, get a stealthable toon, sit in a BG and just watch :P

My problem is most hunters I've seen in BGs suck as much as a shopvac.

Don't watch the Hunters, watch the other classes, see were they have problems, and if you see a Hunter fail, think to yourself "Hmmm, how could I have done that better".

Hell my rogue was my first toon, thats how I learned BG's, I watched peoples moves, saw class weaknesses, and watched for ways I could exploit.

Yeah, but even though PvP vids are usually the big hits, it can tell you a bit of how to make them or give you some idea of what playing right looks like. Case in point, on my new mage I was going through VC, and half our group DC'd right as we hit sneed and an add. Well, the add would run around the planks, not on them, and had I not watched faxmonkey's vid of him soloing DM bosses I may not have realized that I could kite him by getting him to keep running around. So videos may not make you better, but they can give you better ideas and provide visualizations that would be hard to grasp verbally.
