So I'm over halfway to level 70 as an Enhancement Shaman, and I enjoy being Enhancement. But I know deep down in the bottom of my heart that I will be respeccing at level 70 to go Restoration.

I don't mind this - in fact I'm looking forward to it.

My question, however, is about the 70 build. I've read the (very nice) FAQ's, searched the forums, and could not find something up to date on Resto speccing. I was looking at a 0/14/47 build. It has the advantages of good healing, a decent mana pool and bumped up totems (the /14 part). But if I could get the opinions of any 70 resto Shamans that have healed end game, that'd be great.

i think nearly all shamans go 0/5/56 or 0/0/61.
simply because that bit of improvement to totems doesnt outweigh the things you can get from resto.

Am I the only shaman that didn't take improved ghost wolf while leveling? A lot of people who posts specs about what they will be at 70 include ghost wolf. Once you hit 70 you will have so many options at dealing with unwanted adds that ghost wolfing and running away doesn't show up until 5 or 6 adds in.

Anyways, the above poster is correct. The improved totems you have will most likely not help your group in any way since, as a resto shaman, you will be in groups comprised of other healers or magic damage dealers who will not use a SoE or GoA totem.

This is the build I use when I respec to Resto. Elemental Warding has saved my butt more times than I can count. Only talent I'd really like to have is Totemic Focus, but I don't end up dropping new/replacement totems too often while I'm healing.

My 70 Resto build is 0/7/54 just because I run a lot of flags in WSG, otherwise I'd be just 5 in Enh and the rest into Resto.

0/5/56 is pretty much the standard, I understand what you're going for but honestly buffing the healing is the better option, the problem with the totem talents is that the ones they are buffing are not the ones you will be using as a resto, so the points are wasted. Just put the 5 in Ancestral Knowledge and everything else into resto. I personally use this, but I will sometimes drop 2 points from AK and move them across to Imp Reincarnation, the extra mana makes a big difference if you have to pop in a boss fight.

The main specs I have heard for restoration are:

0/5/56
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/shaman/talents.html?0000000000000000000050000000000000000000055030051355313515321
(The usual even though I don't think the 5% is worth it, it is about 400-600 mana)

0/0/61
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/shaman/talents.html?0000000000000000000000000000000000000000055035051355313515321
(In my opinion your better off with 25% cheaper totems but thats just me)

8/0/53
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/shaman/talents.html?5003000000000000000000000000000000000000055030051055313515321
(some people enjoy the 10% reduction to spells since it saves them mana during boss fights not needing to heal themselves as much from AoE damage that is fire, nature, or frost based anyhow)

I would suggest one of the first two I linked for when you start healing instances and doing kara, if you get into a lot of 25 man stuff the third may be a solid option I have heard a lot about, although it is more situational.

Let me add, basically as long as you have these talents you cant go wrong as restoration spec to be honest:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/shaman/talents.html?0000000000000000000000000000000000000000055030051055310510321

These are the basic needed talents, so if you wanted to fool around with something a little bit different I would suggest at least that as a minimum.
