i think i've over researched this. iam sure i knew the answer but then i confused myself by "making sure iam right by checking more"

recently ive been getting a lot of great +crit, +ap and/or +hit items. I find these are replacing my high-in-agility items.

I was wondering whether this was the right thing to do [one such item lost me .50% dodge but gave me quite a bit more base damage and crit chance]

Could someone re-align me? this is really important since its given me second thoughts on my aldor/scryer choice as well.

Hit, Crit, AGI, AP.

That's the order of importance for Mut.

Well, realistically, once you get enough +hit to never miss special attacks, +crit is going to overtake that as a more important stat, with AGI next in line.

Dodge should be THE LAST stat you should be focusing on, seriously.

If you're a fresh(or Kara) muti rogue, try aiming for 150 hit, 1200 AP and (preferably) 25% crit, but I wouldn't sacrifice going beneath those other stats to attain that crit.

I think I went into Kara(all blues) with 157 hit, 1250 AP and 24% crit. Now I'm up to 187 hit, 1400AP and 26+% crit.

Since both of your attacks on Mutilate can crit separately, thus making SF proc(3 CP's instead of 2), theoretically having 25% crit would grant you 5 CP's every two mutilates.

Well that depends on what you're doing. If you're raiding with Mutilate, your white damage is still over 50% of your total, so +hit may still be more important than crit. Keep in mind that it takes less hit rating to yield 1% to hit than it does for crit rating to yield 1% to crit. So it really depends on how much hit or crit you get on a particular item to determine which way to go.

Dodge is crap. Trade all the dodge you can for damage output. That's what rogues are for. Ideally you shouldn't be getting hit, so any dodge you have is wasted in instances and raids.

thats what i thought when i sacrificed dodge. good to know i made the right decision.

Thanks for getting me back on track.

what i love is that you've all practically said the same things, but in your own words. The equivalent of going through multiple sources and finding the same data. Its reassuring.

Let me add another thing: it really depends what's your objective.

I for example do only pvp now. So + hits aren't that important to me (and thanks god, cause you don't get a lot of those on pvp stuff). I am very interested in getting a lot of crit %, AP, agi, endu, more or less in this order :)

As for you choice to aldor or scryer, go Aldor.

The Scryer dagger is useless, and the loss of 10ap for 5 crit rating isnt worth it for raiding. And honestly, on any gear i'd rather have 10 more ap than a measely 5 crit rating, because as your gear scales up, it becomes less less "omg NEED MORE CRIT" even for a mut. rogue. + if you ever want to spec swords you've got a nice little weapon that will take you a while to replace, especially if you dont do arena.

your being a ******. Iam thanking them for the help. Do i have to ******* explain myself in full everytime so some fool like you went pop up to look cool?

ok

Many of the poeple here have posted their own advice. If one looks at the advice it all heads in basicly the same direction. Now considering there are many available directions and somehow all these otherwise unrelated people have [like getting the same advice from 2 people, one in mexico and one in russia] advised to head in one of them. Reassures me i have made the right decision. I didnt mean reassure as in "O youve done a great job ! keep it up!" i mean it as in "yep iam doing the job right, i can go on without worries"
