Armory.

I hit 70 about a week and a half / two weeks ago. Yes, I need some help with gear, so please don't be silly and say I need to upgrade my chestpiece and bracers before posting here. (Oh, and my spec: Blade Twisting sounds nice, but it sucks, so I'm going to respec either today or tomorrow and move some points around. I will continue to stay combat swords.)

Since hitting 70...

I began running 5mans and grinding AV for honor. Having the money to afford it, I bought a Felsteel Longblade and put Mongoose on it. (The mats for Mongoose were only 350 at the time I was checking the AH!) Flame me all you want for the sword (I know some people don't prefer it) but it's the nicest and biggest upgrade I could get without long grinding sessions. (either waiting for Arena pts or grinding Aldor rep for Vindicators).

Professions:

Mining has been incredible, it's probably one of the best professions for a nub like myself. Yesterday, I dropped Skinning (375) to level Enchanting. In one day, I went from 0-270 (seems like an accomplishment to me!) and I can easily see how expensive this profession is to level. I guess the only saving grace is that I'm only going to 300 so I can DE anything I come across.

"Stealth Runs"

Now that I'm 70, I've been looking at some 70 rogue videos on Youtube. I ninja'd the AC chest a few times, and also did 3-4 stealth runs of BRD to get Fiery, and believe it or not, the dropped back-to-back in two consecutive runs. Score! Although I missed out on the Mech chest exploit, what's the current "hot" thing for rogues to be doing? Keep in mind I can DE. I saw videos for soloing / stealthing instances, doing the AC chest, etc, but I'm not sure which is better g/hour.

Arena

Hopefully, you all bypass my current Arena ranking. lolz. I'm not sweating it... I have a PVE leveling build, and just about no resilience. Meh, 10 games a week with guildies is more fun than stressful. (Rrr! MS WARRIORS DIAF!) Certain things, I should be doing better at... which target to CC / focus fire, etc. I'm sure that'll come with experience. We got tore up against Pally Pally Warrior. Like, wtf do you do there? (Sham and Mage in my 3v3.)

Some questions:

1. Latro's isn't dropping for me. :( What do I do? My goal is to save up arena points and buy the offhand weapon, but now I'm unsure whether or not to buy the sword or mace. I want to PVP, but I also want to PVE. In all honestly, I'm not going to be a PVP god, so I'm thinking I should stick with

2. WTF is up with honor? I have enough pts and marks to upgrade TWO of my greens to "Veterans" purples, but I've been hearing that 2.3 will bring us a few changes. Some people I know continue to buy arena gear, others are saving their honor. As you can see from my Armory, I haven't upgraded... What's the smart thing to do at this point?

3. Hypothetically speaking, when I get into Kara and I win the roll for the Spiteblade, what should I do with my off-hand? (Let's say at that point I either have Latro's or a PVP OH wep) Is that basically it for my Felsteel Longblade, or can I use that in my OH? I feel like it's slow for an off-hand, but hits like train. Thoughts?

4. Hot rogue things to be doing: AC chest / BRD running + disenchanting / etc etc.

For those of you still with me, thanks! Most of you guys are much more experienced rogues, so I'll definitely take your advice!

If you have the gold you can buy craftables for back and belt.

2.2 weaponspeed really is garbage you could have spent nearly the same amount on aldor rep from Ah and gotten a much better weapon.

Keep running BM for latro's it's really that good. And the same time you can be trying to get the hourglass.
Run mech to get abcus.

Keep doing AV for bracer/neck/belt you can wait for better in 2.3 or buy now honestly i'de wait.

Run heroic mech/sp/ub (any other easy ones?) a ton to get badges for neck item and possibly trinket. (and more goodies in 2.3)
Don't upgrade your OH before your MH, the upgrade diffrence is huge.

If you don't mind dropping mining you can pick up ENG for the helm if not

honestly you need a lot of gear so i'm going to stop, http://www.shadowpanther.net/armor-dps.htm

On your build I'm hoping that is a grinding build because you have a lot of wasted points.

check out http://enchantrix.org/ (btw your welcome in advance)

Stealth runs are fine i guess, but i can make 120g on an average hour killing sunfury eridactors on the black temple.

you know what, i looked at your build again and its bad for grinding too...you don't have any combat potency....

grinding something like this:

raiding something like this:

they may not be perfect i did them kind of quick here at work, but they are much better than what you have currently

Thanks for your reply! I'll look into your suggestions. And thanks for taking the time to link the two specs. :)

Riposte is bad or rather worse than Combat Potency and Surprise Attacks.

Murder isn't bad and you should have 2 or points left over for Assassination.

Felsteel is pretty bad as you know and is hardly worth the gold, get Vindicators which is your best pre-raid sword and if you are unlucky post-Kara sword.

Latros is good, get it, run for it, BM by far is the best 70 instance to do considering the length for others. It will remain your off-hand until you get a better one, most likely the Arena off-hand, nothing else comes close to its 1.4 speed.

For gold, I use to mark mining nodes in obscure locations and made rounds every so often. But since you can do BRD-DE runs do them.

Two things to consider when you do Kara, Kara is dagger friendly, not sword friendly, so you have a decision to switch specs if you want to or to save DKP/rolls/loot limits for leather pieces. Personally at this point, I would say ***** it to Kara weapons and do Arenas for S3 Weapons and just hope for Kara or Heroic leather.

Just to clarify, he means this in terms of drops. Certainly, combat swords will do better than combat daggers damage wise, but the sword drops in Kara are few, and they're all off of bosses deeper into the instance.
