to Survival: boe craftable gear...Follow

#1 Oct 29 2007 at 7:11 PM Rating: Sub-Default
If your guild was progressing out of 10 mans and into consistent 25 mans, and you were the hunter tasked with becoming Survival spec:

What craftable boe gear should you be looking for? (include links please)

Heroic instances that perhaps drop usable leather items for stand-in gear?

Tips: (please, only a survival hunter with 25 man experience)

Yes most of the names remain the same, don't respond without good info please.

If you want aid in the future, I suggest you drop the attitude towards those who would be of help to you. In spite of that, I am going to give you a very few examples. Just a few, because anyone who knows even just a little bit about Hunters should know what a Surv Hunter wants. And it would take yourself five minutes or less to put together a list of items to farm.

Thick Netherscale Breastplate is one of the few Epic chests that supports Survival this side of Tier 4 and higher. BoE item.

Netherdrake Gloves is also BoE, and just fine for a Surv Hunter starting on 25 mans.

Warpstalker Helm is farmable by badgefarming.

Choker of Vile Intent is a Heroic Drop.

And that will have to do. Do you know where I found some of this stuff? More to the point, where you could have found it? Aethien's Pre-Raid gearlist. It's got a whole section dedicated to Epic gear you can get ahold of outside of raids, and alot of it crafted or just Heroic farmed.

If you want more, do some work yourself you lazy git.

So you don't think me entirely unreasonable, I rated you up primarily for that comment quoted above.

If you're so leet you can expect to get away with a comment like that, you don't need our help.

Smooth I shun you, you say to be doing 25mans yet you are to lazy to look up and possibly know what good survival gear is.

The point was that you failed to show a certain amount of diffidence towards those that would have been able to help you. Looking down upon so many posters is a surefire way to be rated to oblivion. Hell, I didn't even have to help them out. You went to Sub-D so fast my head spun.

The most important point though, was that you were completely capable of finding out yourself what kind of gear you should have. You know where you are in the End-Game hierarchy, and thus you know where you can get gear. Checking a few loot-tables would have provided you with a huge list of attainable gear. After that, you could check the LW and BS profession lists and found alot of Craftable gear.

You weren't looking for more experienced Hunters. You were looking for other Hunters to do your own work for you.

Ah, the line you're looking for lies somewhere in comments such as...

And,

Thats asking for advice/tips.

That's wanting others to do your work.

EDIT: cut out some huuuge chunks to make post smaller.

But you apparently can take the time to post smug replies pointing out your own superiority. Hmm, hypocrisy anyone?

Fact is, with the time and energy you've spent trying to defend your initial laziness, you could have researched the questions yourself. I don't think most here are unwilling to answer/discuss questions in this forum. That's really not the point. When someone is as blatantly lazy as you were, you deserve all the subsequent posts pointing it out.
