Gruul's Lair, Enslaving the fel demonFollow

Out of the blue, I got invited to run Gruul's Lair. Having no gear or Kara experience I come to you for advice. There were 2 warlocks and our only job was to enslave / banish the fel pups the one guy in the 5 man pull summons. My question is: Since the enslave is a 3 second cast, where is the best place to be in order to get these fel pups everytime they respawn. I noticed that they had a tendancy to run after healers so we ended up chasing them and not being able to cast while running. Is it better to pick a spot and try to locate them or wander. Needless to say we weren't able to clear it last night. Gonna give it a go next week.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Before it gets away banish it, it is better than having them get away and eating your healers away. Usually right after the pull the Warlock will take a step forward and than immediatly he starts to summon a felpuppy. Try to enslave it, shouldn´t be a big problem since it needs a second or two to go after the first player in it´s aggro list (which will usually be the healers).
Once enslaved send it after the warlock.

If you have an addon, like necb castbars, quartz or even if you have the option turned on to see enemy casts you can always see the what and when he is casting
the felhound, but you always have to be at the tip of your toes to make sure you either banish or enslave the puppy.
always send them after the warlock.

Kill the healer-mob first, than all melees go for the warlock (after that you are free to do dmg), make sure someone takes care of the puppies while the Wl is still alive while all caster nuke the mage-mob than go for the shaman after that stand circular around maulgar and nuke him.

We tank the priest and the warlock at the exit to Maulgar's room (the entrance to the hallway to Gruul). We have one warlock start out on the other side, where the main tank pulls from. he gets a shield and follows the tank in, ready to cast Enslave as soon as the first felpup is summoned. After that, all the DPS is over on the hill where priest/lock are being tanked, so the enslavers are practically in melee range of the lock when he summons.

We have a mage pull the entire thing and then misdirect/ice block/avenger shield pull the others off the stack. HKM is tanked pretty much directly opposite is starting point, Krosh against the wall he starts near, Blind-Eye and Olm are on the slope near Gruul's hallway and Kigler is tanked by a hunter and SP in the corner. This leaves a very large area in the center of the room and while enslaving fel hunters I tend to stand right in the gap and just snatch them up as they come.

Easiest is to have your five man pull the summoner against the back wall (by the torch on the right - behind their initial setup). Stand on the inside (center-side) of the summoner, then you'll be in range to enslave at all times.

Why banish? It wastes too much time, just enslave and use them against the summoner. Otherwise, you're going to minimize overall dps.

Im usually somewhere in the middle of the room so I can almost reach it from anywhere.

Try that and see how it works.

Just try to stay at a good distance from the warlocks (24-30 yards), and if possible between him and the area where most your healers cluster, as the healers will probably attract the Felhounds attention as soon as it spawns (in mi raids it is usually one of the MH healing Maulgar's tank who get targeted quick).

Rate ups all around because I think this is the first advice thread where no one posted something entirely wrong or truly idiotic.
