See, now that's terrible.

No imp backstab or any other 'good' Assassination talent. No opportunity. Tons of pvp talents as combat dagger.

And worse, his gear indicates that he should know better.

He's also using Vendor gems in his helm and doesn't have any enchant on anything but his boots...

My seconds entry: Artemas.

His gear isn't too terrible, although it's obvious that he's a fresh 70. What's really atrocious is his talent spec; 1/60/0. I **** you not.

Two Ced's Carvers, no Imp BS, no Opportunity, and out of all the talents in the Assassination tree that he picks to put his one point into, he chooses Remorseless Attacks. I do like the one point in Sword spec though, and the fact that he got Imp SS!

Poison

Selling points on this second selection include (please god let them be better than the first):

-14/0/47 Build
-Lolstep
-Revered with one faction
-18% crit with a dagger build.
-Horrible gear (way, way beyond fresh 70 bad)
-51 hit

I tried to find one this time that was undebatably worse then a fresh 70 should be.

Sorry I accidently posted this as a new topic and I guess it couldn't be moved so I'm reposting my entry here :D. Basically I don't even know what to say or where to start...Spec 8 5 48 with no shadowstep or hemo or serrated blades, not a single epic, or many blues for that matter. 14.90% crit 77 hit I don't even see a single level 70 item on the guy...least he's exalted with darnassus and stormwind and has a orange mageweave shirt...

Whats the end date of this season of awesome Demea?

Holy crap, that gave me an idea. We should feature the worlds worst arena team (that involves a rogue naturally) at the end of each season.

There's no set date. I'll end it as soon as we have about 12-15 entries.

My entry is this bandit.

Eight green "XXX of the bandit" pieces.
No enchants.
A 2.6 speed sword in offhand and a 1.8 speed dagger in main hand (and having 2/2 Improved Sinister Strike, oh my god.......).
Honored or worse with factions.
Totally hated by Scryers but only halfway friendly with Aldor.
Skill in Thrown: 50/350.
A 38-2-21 build, he found Setup more important than Cold Blood and Mutilate.
And: he is a gnome.

I don't have any that are worth, but I'm going to go against convention here and say that crappy equips because a person is a new 70 should be fair game.

Sure, a person may be new to 70, but that means that relatively speaking, they stink! :P It doesn't make them a bad person or a crappy player, and they'll make it better as they work on it, but a new 70 just is relatively weaker than a seasoned 70, that's the way it is.

So I say noob-2-70? Fair game! :D

I will probably not have my nominee in the top ten, but what the hell. I think I have something of a grasp on what does not seem to work very well, so here goes.

And the nominee is:

http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-talents.xml?r=Greymane&n=Assazin

Level 70 Rogue, all 61 points spent!
I doubt its a joke profile, but who knows?
Its certainly not my profile.

Talent Selection: This one ties into gear selection, but personally if I am going with Combat-Swords I think I'll equip, I don't know, a sword and not a fist weapon and a dagger.

Gear: To me it seems he has a lot of +sta gear, far more than +agil gear which I'd think would rate higher on the must-have scale. That and he's using a fist and dagger weapon and is combat-swords. I don't think I can say that enough.

Reputations: That's not actually too bad, all things considered.

Bonus Points: His name is Assazin. I mean. Really. Why not just name yourself Uninspired?

You're an idiot. A good rogue in bad gear is still a good rogue. If you want to dump on people for not having all their phat lewts yet, get the f*ck out of here and go back to the O-boards.

No you're an idiot and you smell funny too! Arr! More personal insults that have nothing to do with your argument! Ad hominem attacks!

He may be a good rogue, but he's still not going to outperform a good rogue in *good* gear, which means his character is worse than someone who has been 70 for a while. Again it doesn't mean he's a bad player, his character is just less abled until he has time to go get himself good equipment. Therefor, if we're talking about a profile being underperforming, bad equipment should definitely be in consideration since equipment is *extremely* important in WoW. A third time, it doesn't mean he's a lesser person or a bad player, he just has work to do. Heck, my hunter still has generally bad equips because I've gone back to play lower level characters, not feeling like doing the 70's stuff.

I'm not 'dumping' on people because their equipment is subpar, just stating an objective truth that it means they'll be underperforming compared to someone who has had the time to get themselves good equipment. Obviously there are other things to consider when talking about a bad character, such as unhelpful talents which indicates they may also not be skilled at playing the class, but I wouldn't leave equips out of the whole picture.
