Contest: The Worst Armory Profile EVAR (Part II)Follow

Since we've had a chance now to hash and rehash all of the stuff that is coming our way in patch 2.3, this forum has gotten fairly stagnant again, and the only thing breaking the monotony is the people that don't read the stickies asking for advice on their build, their gear, and what they should name their cat (Mr. Fluffles FTW). Therefore, since it was such a hit the last time around, I bring to you again the Worst Armory Profile EVAR competition.

Just as a refresher, here's the rules. Take special note of the last one.

- Must be a level 70 character.
- Must be a rogue.
- Must have all 61 talent points spent.
- Cannot be an obvious joke profile.
- Cannot be your profile (no respeccing to 0/0/61 and submitting it Smiley: glare).
- Maximum of 2 (two) entries per poster.
- Cannot be a profile that was submitted during the last contest.

Again, profiles will be judged according to talent selection, gear, arena ratings, and reputations. Bonus points will be given for funny/stupid player or guild names. Judging will take place by a vote, which will be located in a separate thread that I will start once all entries are in.

The winner will receive ten (10) rate-ups from yours truly.

I think you should post a link to the first contest just so those who are seeing this for the first time can get a good idea beforehand (if you haven't deleted it or anything...).

Looks like somebody bought their account at 60 and didn't know they got more talent points.

Anyway, I just did an armory search on a guild on my old server that is currently at war with my old guild. They were notoriously bad, and pretty much everyone hates them. Stupid, arrogant, and bad at the game. So, here's what I found.

1281 3v3 rating. 46 deep in subtlety. Hemo Daggers. Imp. SS with Hemo. Dirty Deeds + Imp. Ambush. Doesn't even have enough +hit to not miss specials on non elite mobs. He socketed his gear with strength and defense gems, and is wearing a tank ring. This guy has to be braindead.

Combat daggers, but no Opportunity or improved backstab. Has ungemmed gear. Took Aggression for Combat Daggers.

Fifty points in combat. +40 armor patch on his chestpiece. Nothing but green gems anywhere. Most overpriced BoE rogue item in existance (Cobrascale hood, lol). 5/5 Lightning Reflexes, 5/5 Deflection 2/5 Malice, 0/5 Lethality.

FIFTY THREE points in combat. 1/2 Blade Twisting, 0 points in Lethality, no Relentless Strikes. And he's single wielding! I don't know if he just took his weapon off or something, but damn.

Combat Daggers without Improved Backstab or Lethality OR Relentless Strikes. Managed to spring for Aggression and Dirty Tricks, though. Almost every piece of gear he's wearing is BoE.

I'll narrow down my selections after making a post on my realm's forums to make fun of these idiots.

Nomination #1. Beetleguise.

-I'm not sure if his name is misspelled, or if it's supposed to be a pun. Either way, it's stupid.
-He took all three normal attack improvers. Improved SS, Hemo and Improved Backstab. I guess he likes variety, even though he's using daggers and both Hemo and SS fail for that.
-1281 3v3.
-Not enough hit rating to not miss specials, even with talents considered.
-Both opener enhancing talents.
-Only 1/3 in Initiative, while having a whopping forty six points in Subtlety.

-Another possibly misspelled name.
-Less than half his gear is level 70.
-Nearly half his gear is BoE.
-13 pieces of gear at level 63 and below.
-8 pieces of gear at level 60 and below.
-Level 60 druid gloves.
-Not enough hit rating to not miss specials.
-No arena teams.
-Highest profession is at 81.
-No enchants of any kind.
-1131 AP full Subtlety.
-Not quite 19% crit with 5/5 Sinister Calling.
-1/3 Imp. Backstab for a Dagger build.
-0/5 Deadliness with 41 points in subtlety.
-Exalted with a grand total of 0 factions.
-Revered with a grand total of 0 factions.
-Honored with a grand total of 5 factions.
-Neutral or lower with a whopping 22 factions.
-Highest reputation is with Sporeggar.

The worse of the two, easily.

I am kind of curious what people's searching strategies are. Myself I'm looking at the names of Final Fantasy characters.

Professions area hard thing to judge by. I had none for a week (dropped them on a Friday and had no internet the following week).

Keep in mind that there is more than meets the eye to most of these profiles. I had one earlier that was a 70 using three peices of gray lvl 30 cloth armor.

After I looked closer I saw it all had mount speed increase enchants.

Silly? Yes. Worst ever? not quite.

Not an entry, but I fine specimen nonetheless (that took only 45 sec of browsing the armory to find.) It was his gear that made me take notice, his professions that peaked my interest, but ultimately it was his build that made me fall in love with him.

Heck, all ten of my short list are worse then this. Its just so hard to narrow down.

Full sub or full druid tanking gear?
Mixed weapons off spec or full tier 1?

The choices are so hard....

Thank you for once again reaffirming my belief that humanity is doomed because of retards.

It was far more the fact that he has two BoE daggers and 18 points in sub. The spec sets the stage for what kind of stats you would expect his build to have.

Yeah Arund I have to call Fail on you. I have two ceds and have 20 points in sub. I know it doesn't top DW spec but with my pickup team of DPS'ers having a bit more utility is currently the better choice for me. My gear is scrub but I'm hardly a noob.

Again, what exactly is wrong about having 2 Slow BoE daggers that are as good (if not better) then anything you can get outside of Arena or Raiding?

As for his spec... There's nothing wrong with it per say. Mut/sub was considered a viable spec for a long time and he didn't really make any dumb mistake with his talents either.

The same goes for his gear. This is obviously the profile of someone who just barely hit level 70 and is wearing what he's got getting there - heck, I barely was any better then that when I hit level 70.

Nothing in that profile event warrants ridicule. He's not wearing tank gear, or using weird gems, or using bad talents, or using a sword as mutilate...

No, he just has bad gear.

You posting him up would be like me posting you and going:

- Still use 2 Greens.
- Still use 6 Blues.
- Is Dagger spec lawl.
- Is using Kara Dagger, l2 S2 arena gear.
- Has below 30% crit has dagger /double lawl.
- Doesn't even have 200 Hit!
- Is wearing 2/4 Netherblade! GG Kara!
- Only has a 3v3 team, and it's below 1600.

The fact that my gear is better then yours, doesn't mean you suck.


I don't know that John guy or anything, but for some reason the idea of what I'd consider 'an average fresh 70' player being lumped in with some truely spectacular idiots really irks me.
