Suppression> improved corruption?Follow

Alright, so I currently am level 28, specced full affliction. I have 3 points in corruption, but when I actually read it clsoer I realized that it says 36% of bonus spell damage, of which I do not have much of and probably won't have for awhile.
I also seem to be gettign resisted an awful lot by things 3+ levels above me. Do you guys think it would be worth it for as a low level to drop the 3 points in corruption and put them into suppression to help with resists?
thanks

I think I've read something about empowered corruption is only worth taking when you pass +200 spell/shadow dmg.

improved corruption is amazing. but so is suppression for leveling. put 2-3 points in suppression if you want to make leveling easier but also get 5/5 improved corruption. you can forget about putting points into empowered corruption though.. you're unlikely to have enough +damage to make it worth while.

err my bad, didn't even register that improved corruption is differnt then empowered corruption. empowered corruption is the one that I am talking about dropping.

Right! Keep the one that makes corruption an insta cast spell (which you can (and should) cast on the run).

Ditch the one that adds a % of your sp damage to corruption - until yer well into your 60s and you have lots of +sp dam. It's totally worthless (pretty much) at the lower levels.

Suppression is somewhat useful - at least a few points in it (most say 5/5 is overkill) - cuz every once in a while it'll cause you to land a fear that otherwise would have been resisted. It also helps you fight oranges and low reds - who otherwise would resist you a lot more (your aff spells, anyway). GL

You don't need more than 3/5 - which is still a bit much (2/5 is the norm). I believe this is because you'd get 4% less resist, while the pvp less resist cap is 3%... not sure though.

You only want to max your suppression if you're raiding and you're low on +spell hit.

remember even though you can make corruption an instant cast you have a global cooldown of 1,5 second after the cast so maybe you only want to just put 1 or 2 points into it.

I've never kept Suppression, to be honest. Like everyone said though - 2/5 if anything at all.

well supression is a very important thing to specc if you plan on doing raid-instances, since boss-mobs have a 16% base resist to all your spells.
Actually there is no better way of increasing your DPS omn bosses, but increasing your +spellhit.

If you only put 1-2 pts into imp corr, that's still time that you have to stand still and can be inerrupted while casting corruption. I think it's well worth having that instant afflic spell in your ********
