Macros and clipping autoshotsFollow

I just started using macros recently. I've looked at the one posted in pre-raid thread, and a similar one on the official WoW forums, and tried both of them out. I've also read the info at tkasomething, which was useful but didn't answer my question. I'm BM, so it's just the simple autoshot/steady shot/kill command macro.

My problem is whenever Kill Command hits, it delays when Steady Shot hits and ends up clipping my autoshot. I had the same results with the two variations of the macros I tried.

Am I using the macro incorrectly, or is there a superior macro that can help alleviate this problem?

Thanks.

I have had the same issue.

I believe Kill command starts the global cooldown. So I have to wait a sec to shoot the steady shot. If I am not under any speed enhancing effects, I.E. Rapid Fire or the improved AotH, I can usually still slip in a steady without delaying the auto by too much. If I am shooting too fast I just skip steady for that round and start again after my auto shot.

If anyone else has a solution please chime in!!!

Thanks

Kill Command does NOT activate the GCD. However, it cannot go while casting steady shot, and if it goes while casting auto-shot (the last 0.5 seconds of the auto shot) it will delay the AUTO SHOT by 0.5 seconds after the KC goes off.

Steady shot is enhanced by rapid fire and other speed increasing effects, however you have to consider the last 0.5 seconds of your attack speed will still be auto-shot. So for the most part, unless you have a huge amount of increased attack speed (or a REALLY fast bow), your steady shot wont delay your auto shot.

As to the question by herbnosis, I think the problem is you are pushing the button to start steady and pushing the button when KC is up (I'm not there, but I'm guessing thats what you do). The beauty of this macro is you can spam it faster than an MP-5 can fire, and it will still keep a steady-auto rotation, weaving in KC if it's up. KC will only fire right after steady or right after auto-shot, and if you're mashing the key fast enough it should not delay either (except for maybe the time it takes to depress the button, which shouldn't be long if you're mashing the key as if it's a potato that you're going to put gravy on). So throw your key a beating, as if it were a disobedient kid in 1930, and use the macro to it's fullest.

Thanks skribs. I think I have been mashing it pretty good, but I'll try to hit it faster and see if that changes things. Thanks again.

To save your keyboard from the punishment, you can download auto hot key, and write a script, where u just hold the button down, and it spams it at whatever you set it to. Mine is set for 10 times per second or something hehe. This becomes very useful for when you are under haste effects. I can post my script for the program if you dont know how to code one, just let me know. I have it set to the 2key, and i just drag whatever macro i want to use it with onto that position for easy access.

I have found it great to use it with my auto steady macro, then manually throw in the arcanes and multis.

did you change the number in there (after reset) to the exact same as your autoshot delay?
