Thick Draenic Gloves/Pants are a nice combo getting just into Outlands (big stats at those lvls, and +hit set bonus), but the boots and Vest have too high a lvl req, before you get to the lvl to wear those you should have MAJORLY better armor just from questing.
I dunno, man, I was working the Outlands quest scene pretty hard through my mid- to late-60's and just didn't see many upgrades to the Thick Draenic pieces, letalone MAJORLY better pieces. Granted, I don't get to run as many instances as I'd like and I'm sure dungeon drops and maybe dungeon quests give you phatter lewt than I was getting, but I'll believe it if I see it.

Wild Draenish is hybrid gear...and hybrid gear never works in PvE...just do I I did for Healer set - on all the quests that dont have feral upgrades for you, pick the healer item. Also in instances alot of groups will allow the feral druid to need caster leather if your the only druid in the group. My healer set I've never even wore before is just as good as my DPS set.
While I think "hybrid gear never works for PvE" is a
bit melodramatic I fully agree on the strategy for collecting caster/healer gear, but think the Wild Draenish set can be a valuable filler at four key slots amidst that strategy, at least for ferals.
My guess is that balance/resto types rely more on maxing out their +int, +spirit, +spelldamage and healing and therefore benefit more from gear focused on those stats.
I equipped the Wild Draenish set planning to upgrade as stuff became available, and wore it a lot longer than I expected. The stuff I got as drops and rewards just didn't beat it out in a fair fight. Most was comparable, and the set bonus kept me in Wild Draenish. The set gives you a total of +59 int, +111 stamina, and +103 healing and damage. Not too shabby for those stats themselves, then on top of that there's +61 agility and +61 strength. Especially for a feral druid, it's nice to have a casting/healing set that lets you drop into furry form mid-combat and kick some ***.
