What type of sword for lvling?Follow

I was wondering if a rep pal should use a 2 handed sword or 1 handed sword and a shield.

Makes sense.

for a ret pally you definitely want the slowest, highest damage 2h'er you can find. this will boost your damage from SoC, JoC, and CS. on my ret alt i've 'downgraded' from a fast 2h to a slower one with slightly less dps but much more damage and str and seen my damagemeter dps go up considerably. that only works if the slower weapon is considerably higher top damage and not much less dps.

course once you get the slow 2h, you can get a counterweight to make it slightly faster with the same damage..... unless you can afford crusader... or savagery.
