Paladin TankingFollow

I'm pretty new to wow and like the Paladin class so far. My Pally is a dwarf at 27th level. My question is for level 70 Paladins who spec protection. Can paladins tank end game instances and what is the best method to use to draw as much aggro as possible?

yes it can be done and the main aggro generator is your +spell dmg. but you dont need to go crazy with it you only need around +200 or so for kara dont know much about anything past there, my guild has not made it past kara yet.

Not only can we do it at 70, but we excel at 70. In raid encounters, things become tighter and warriors/druids become better in some instances. Paladins are one of the best in 5 mans for most of the game. The damage I delt just by taking far surpassed most of DPSers in almost every party from 30-62.\

SoR is your bread and butter. That and Righteous fury will be your main threat for a long while. You can use consecration for AoE damage, and even Ret Aura is nice for hate. Remember that RF works on holy damage, so if it does holy damage its making threat.

Eh they're still not as good as warriors, and I can't imagine having a paladin main tank bosses in Hyjal/BT, but they do have their advantages (especially on Hyjal trash). Main problem is, at least at the moment, is their lower HP

Last I read Hyjal had swarms of enemies damn near tailor made for pally tanking, though.

Sorta, but there are still bosses (I'm in Hyjal). Basically the boss fights are actually events where there are 8 waves of trash mobs, followed by a boss. Protection paladins are good for tanking trash in hyjal because A.) there are lots of mobs B.) they're nearly all undead. They're great on the trash, not as hot on the bosses. You could certainly tank the bosses, but a warrior would be better at it.
