This is an easy one that I'm not sure what to do
Working on outfitting my tanking set for starting heroics...and assuming you had Wastewalker Gloves (I've *already* got armor coming out my ears, and I haven't even finished farming the heavy clefthoof set, so I think Verdant Gloves would be a bit wasted...correct me if I'm wrong lol), would you rather get PVP shoulders (slightly better overall mitigation) or Wastewalker (for the 2-piece hit bonus)?
Either would be gemmed with appropriate colored tanking gems, of course, so that's a nonissue.

I forgot there were so many choices for leather PvP gear... but yeah, overlooking them all, I think the best shoulders will depend on your current stats.
As I understand it, as a tank, +Hit is not that important. So that would make Wastewalker a bit less useful. The PvP counterpart also has more Stamina, which is always nice, but loses a bit of Agi, so less avoidance.
I haven't taken enough time yet to check Druidic tanking gear to know easily what is better than what, but it seems to me that they are both pretty good and it'll only depend on what stats you need more.

IMO I'd go for the PVP shoulders. I use them, and they do fine. They also have a few other stats that help things along. (Like Int for when you have to play full hybrid while offtanking.) Additionally, there's no worry about waiting for the drop so you can spend that time getting some other gear.
Thanks for the input; I was reminded yesterday while in AV that S1 arena gear is going to be honor purchaseable once S3 comes out, and those are vastly superior to either of the other two choices, so I think I'll wait for those, lol.

it will help you a ton, and the Merciless Gladiators shoulders will be the BEST shoulders you can get until tier 4. And with a Arena team with a 1300 rating it will take you like 6 weeks to get the shoulders.

I might do that after S3 comes out, since the S2 stuff would also be cheaper; will probably depend on how much honor they want for the S1 gear...I suck at pvp in general though, so I'm not keen on doing arena. :/
Edit: And oh yes I'm very aware of emmerald's lists. Such a great springboard on what to shoot for as a 'starter' set before getting into heroic gear and such.
