What is the raid cycle for a balance druid? I would imagine something like:

Faerie Fire -> Insect Swarm -> Moonfire -> Starfire -> Starfire

casting Faerie fire every other cycle, as it has a longer duration

Is this about right?

Yup. There aren't many spells for a Moonkin, is there? =)

Don't forget to help with your Innervate and heals though.

Well, one thing to note, 2 Starfires will not be enough for all your DoT's to finish. I'd just say Starfire or Wrath spam and when IS or MF ends, cast it again. Since it's instant anyway it won't break your rhythm I would think.

They burn a global cooldown (whereas the GCD expires while you're busy casting Starfire), so it's a slight interruption, but nothing serious really.

Or a BM hunter. Just mash your steady-shot and kill command macro until you break a key, then bind it to the next one. 3 keyboards per boss fight aint bad, eh?

Don't forget to stop every hour to Arcane Brilliance the whole group...
Hehe, yea, thinks Frost Mages take the 1st prize for "Most Boring Spell Rotation in Raids"

My opinion, but at least Resto is much more fun in rotation...Rej, Regrowth, Lifebloom x 3...

Frost mages shouldn't really be in raids, they are more of a pvp oriented build. Fire in raids is where it's at.

most balance druids i know dont even worry about moonfire. they keep up FF and IS for the debuffs, then spam starfire (max to 2 ranks downranked at most). if threat and mana arent issues theyll use max rank, but if either becomes and issue theyll downrank 1-2 ranks to either conserve mana or manage threat better.

I hear ya Quor, especially if the druid has the talent to increase moonfire crit chance. Right now im an aggro machine, but i dont worry about it too much since i wear plate fur. In raids though, it really will be an issue, as you say.

Kind of. Ice Block has a couple of uses in Karazhan that can really help guilds learning fights. I know for sure you can iceblock out of the chains in the Illhoof fight. Also gets rid of the Garotte in the Moroes fight which can really help (along with BoP) to reduce the load on the healers.
