Can totems "debuff" a weapon Follow

I was reading in another forum that a shammy totem could take away a weapons buff. The one mentioned was a rogue poison buff. Is this true ??? This would be a person in your group, not an enemy.

Thanks in advance.

The poison cleansing totem removes poisons from your group, but not weapon buffs.

WF totem will buff the weapon but not if the rogue already poisoned it.

Thanks for that response...I think I found my answer also buried several pages back about totems and WF/mana oil/etc buffs on weapons. It looks like the totem doesn't remove anything, it just doesn't give you any additional benefit.

At least I think that was what ppl were saying. The groups I play with aren't "old" enough to know what they want from totems. They just want me to heal them.

Again, thanks for the quick response.

Was your mom necessary?

Seriously, lay off everyone, it was a perfectly good question and I've not seen it asked before.

I did read the FAQ, and since I don't have premium services I cannot search as easily. When reading conflicting info, I like to have the issue correct in my mind. If that means it's a "stupid" question, so be it.

Thanks again for clearing up my confusion.

So you think you're better than everyone now?

Honestly, lay off buddy. We don't appreciate the endless sarcasm. I'm pretty sure

It used to, long ago (way before you blueberry shamans). Drop a Windfury Totem and the rogue would lose his poison to it; I'll bet you can guess how annoyoying that got, so it was changed. Now totem buffs will only affect a naked weapon.

You don't appreciate it, you mean. The OP obviously doesn't seem to care too much. Although I think you all need to lighten up and learn to laugh. How do you people enjoy life if you take everything so seriously? Eh... what can you expect from most WoW players? Got the game stuck too far up your ***

Just me, eh? I wonder why, then, that your post was rated down to nothingness...

Oh, that's right, you're a jackass.

Where the hell did this quote come from?

It was a post that got rated down to oblivion (for quite obvious reasons) and is no longer visible. I'm not sure if changing your filter settings will show it, but then again, I love my idiot filter Smiley: grin

Edit: just checked and if you turn off the filter, you can see the post.

I'm a girl by the way and at my age, I see no benefit in getting into prolonged arguments. It never worked for me as a kid anyway. LOL

Going for Level 30 on my Shammie this weekend. Yippie

Constructive feedback is always welcome, because on occasion I will open mouth and insert foot.

Sorry about that; I didn't know.

EDIT: Wow, people rated down his posts so low they're all sub-default. Why am I not surprised?

Yep that's right, but keep in mind that a rogue will actually get higher DPS out of WF than a poison.

Nice, can't wait to get WF. I have so many totems already. I think I'll have to start creating macros so I can throw them down in groups based on composition of party and / or bad guys needing death.

I'm up to lvl 29 now so onward and upward.

Thanks again for the advice. (-:

For organizing Totems and a macro that drops them all, I started using Totemus (I think its Totemus, might be TotemTimers). One or the other lets you pick your four totems and binds them to a macro for ease-of-dropping.
