Ripper vs. Latro'sFollow

I got an Emerald Ripper defaulted to my a few minutes ago.

I'm a bit apprehensive to use it as my OH for a combat build. Fist/Dagger... what?

I know it has more base damage over my Latro's but is it going to work with my build and its 1.8 speed? Or will the speed not matter overall?

Please enlighten me. With your wise knowledge of "no stunning" I have become the top dps for the guild and any of the groups I am in, no competition, woo. I don't want to mess that up.

Oh, and I got Grips of Deftness as well to do with what I want, since I am the guild enchanter. (But I still prefer my Assassination gloves.)

Nah, they won't be mad. I told them I didn't want it but they said to take it. I ended up with 7 void crystals for the night from attunmen - opera, lotta DEing.


Anyhow, thanks for the advice, it was pretty much what I was thinking.

There really isn't much of a difference between Assassination and Deftness. Once 2.3 goes live and Deftness gets some Expertise, however, they'll be pretty badass.

The gloves will benefit fist spec in 2.3 because all weapon skills are turning into generic combat expertise rating.
