With the upcomming patch, Whirlwind damage will be done with both weapons if 2 are equipped. Does this mean we have to equip 2 slow weapons instead of 1 slow 1 fast to do maximum damage?
eh.. sure. you don't have to equip a slow OH.
But if you felt like it, you could, and it would increase your DPS, although only slightly.

I mean, a fast OH would give me more rage to pull off my attacks while having a slow OH will give me more whirlwind damage. Which would be better?
for same stat/dps weapons of different speeds, you'll get the same rage no matter what from an off hand.
but what happens is you get more rage less often. fast OH's generate rage in smaller amounts more often.
this leads to 'spikey' rage generation.
and for DPS, you want to be able to control your rage generation, faster OH's are constant in this regard.

Ah... so fast is usually better so I can use skills as soon as they come off CD.
that's the general consensus.
