I can tell because your unrated posts are decent, and when I recheck the page they are suddenly Good or higher for no reason at all.

I'm hovering on the edge of sage continually. I think what happens is someone sees a normal post that is rated "good" and goes, why did someone rate that up. I'll undo that now. meh. I don't care. I also have a bunch of downrated posts lately that I have no explanation for (I got nuked for a bit in your "GHAAAA" thread edit: and apparently here too :)). I must have pissed someone off.

The sub-d post in OoT didn't help :) I haven't decided if I should respond to that at all. My instinct is not to.

I think somebody is just ratecamping everybody. Picking a person they want to rate down, then picking one they want to rate up.

Too bad you cannot see who rates you and return the favor, oh the violence and turmoil that would then insue... North would probly find it rather inviting.

I just rate people according to how useful I find their comments :)

I find a certain irony in this statement, coming from someone who has started threads today are about 1) the horrors of the OoT forum and, 2) someone elses kharma status.

It's also ironic that some of the same people that gripe about other people being unable to read the sticky are the same ones that post inane back-and-forth about nothing even remotely WoW or hunter related.

Don't get me wrong, I understand one function of a forum is social. That's fine. I prefer to read substantive posts, but that's just me. I don't rate people up or down for non-contributing posts, I just move along usually. But, I think the lack of consistency from some people is rather ironic and betrays a major double standard and I thought I'd point it out.

Anyways, I'll move along now (and await the inevitable).

Most of the mindless back and forth takes place in sub-d derailed threads, and that doesn't really count. There is still a fair amount of substantial discussion that takes place here.

Also fun threads are fun. Stupid threads are stupid, and so should be derailed into a fun thread imho. This forum is for wow hunters to hang out in. There is no rule about only theory crafting, we're not the EJ forums.
