The Scarlet MonasteryFollow

As a level 41 warrior, how many times should I run the Scarlet Monastery? I got the Raging Berserker Helm, and got some pretty good XP. Never did a real dungeon run before.

I will finish the Deadmines tonight, after I help some guildies get a few things. What has SM taught you and what else can the warrior gain from SM?

You're 41 now, plate is your priority on loot. If you've got the raging berzerker's helm, you've gotten most of what you'd get out of there anyways.

I remember seeing you're using Whirlwind axe. You're alliance, you can do the Scarlet Monastery questline "In the name of the light" for the Bonebiter Axe.

If anything, you can start pugging Razor Fen Downs, there is a decently nice chest piece that drops there, and the xp will be good for you.

At lvl41 you are very close to being able to start running Zul'Farrak. Once you hit 44 aim for ZF!

If I may suggest looking here:
SM Loot chart There's a shield: Aegis of the Scarlet Commander I used that one for many levels.

However, I would not hold up your leveling progress for a few items that you'll eventually end up replacing in a few levels. The only gear worth breaking your hump for is going to be in Outlands. You won't outlevel those in 2 nights.

If you like running SM, and don't mind waiting for a group, then get every item in that chart that will help your class, if you want to move on and hit up ZF and ST for nice gear too, get to leveling Smiley: smile

greenroom,

Yes, I currently have the quest to pick up the Bonebiter Axe, and at 51 will get the Ice Noob Spear (see my replies on the enchant thread regarding Crusader) and see how I'm doing.

I'll finish questing SM tonight and look into that breastplate. Nice!

Also, if you're gonna be doing RFD make sure you do the last boss in there if you can. He drops a helm (I can't remember the name off-hand) that you use for near ten levels at least.

Lv31.... it's been a while, but I'm not even sure you can do GY at 31. I know I normally go about lv 40... right?

Meh, next question. What class are you?

Will the SM set help you? Then go for it, but I suggest not spending too much time since you'll out grow the gear pretty fast.

Hope some of that helps.

gy is 32, lib is 34 armory is 36 cath is 38.

Just get the shield and you're damn near done. Uldaman has some nice plate drops, that helm is freaking awesome, I used to use it against paladins at even 60 for that stun.

I'm really lazy today, 3 a.m. Sekk halls run...work at 7, so I'm whooped, but I think there's a Morgana's might or something like that sword that I used with the shield I got from there... I'll look it up.

Ah, found it... 2H weapon I used for soloing from there

spirit ftl! I'd rather have the WW weapon for the much higher damage range and better stats.

Lol well no kidding -spirit, but at that early of a level Stamina and highest attack weapon I could get my hands on I'd grab up.

Also, with that low of HP, the +spirit helped a tad bit with down time, errr... it seemed like it did to me.

OP here's a list of 2H weapons that you can choose from. Most are AH'd, few PvP, and of course the FREE one I mentioned from a instance you're going to do anyway.
Alla listy

ravager is probably the one you were thinking about, that axe is freakin' awesome!

Holy h3ll had I know that dropped there at the time I would have not settled for leveling with M. Might weapon.

[wowitem=7717]Ravenger[/wowitem]

Actually, that's really not any better than M. Might. Yes, mine had spirit, but it had a bit more DPS, and will not attack random mobs walking by you when fighting XD

SM at 31 you are probably limited to the Graveyard wing. I'd go given the chance simply to get experience working in a group. You could try Library but the stuff at the end will be orange (possibly red?) to you so you will miss a lot and I wouldn't recommend trying to tank Library until 34 or 35 at least.

I think most of the better Warrior drops are in the Armory and Cathedral which you should steer clear of for a few more levels.

As for going for the SM set as a Warrior, the problem I see with that is that you end up getting it so close to 40 that you will quickly want to replace it all with plate. I don't think it's worth the effort to get the set as a Warrior or Pally unless perhaps you are going to stay at 39 for a while to do BGs?

I think RFK would be about right for your level though I'm not familiar enough with the drops there to say what to look for. I escorted a friend's 27/28 Pally through there the other day and he got a couple of nice drops that he can't equip yet.

not only the random mobs but i found you cant move unless you do an ability to interupt the channeling. mob runs your screwed. i had to use hamstring to break it half the time would proc on the run. makes a nice small rad shard if i remember right. i still out dpsed peeps with my ww axe when they had that.

Ravager really likes to break the CCs on mobs as well. Good damage and all, but put that thing away in a group. =/

Very bad experience with a Ret Pally in SM a few days ago.
