Was wondering if I am doing alright. I am mostly soloing with cat so feral charge and feral instinct aren't really needed yet, I plan to get those later. Was investing in Survival of the Fittest good idea as opposed to predatory instincts 1st.. once I get mangle I plan to get Furor, naturalist, omen of clar.

As for gear, I decided mostly to prioritize str/agil with some sta mixed in. think I got 690 atk in cat and 24% crit at 46. As for bracer couldn't find anything better on AH, I tried. Got a 16agil blue bracer waiting for me, which is req lvl 50.

Didn't have much time today, so here goes. Gonna try to keep it brief, since I tend to type too much.

I'd say talent build depends on server type a bit. PvE realm, it's fine not to have Feral Charge in a way. Useful to have, but not critical. On a PvP realm, however, I found it quite useful against some people who tried to kill me.

Feral Instinct is actually good for the grinding/leveling part too. It allows to get pasts nasty spots a bit more easily. Still not critical, but a good choice, in my opinion.

Thick Hide, on the same tier, is not that useful for leveling. The armor boost won't be noticeable that much and, frankly, you regen enough mana while in Cat form to heal yourself when you need to. It's more of a tanking talent, in my opinion. (That is, until you hit the mitigation cap at late end-game) So yeah, I'd drop this and take Feral Instinct 3/3 and Brutal Impact 2/2 like you already have to keep moving further in Feral. But it's not worth respeccing for I think, at least not unless it prevents you from getting Mangle ASAP.

Survival of the Fittest and Predatory Instincts have very little effect on your leveling process so pick whichever you prefer. The 3% stats won't show right now, but being crit'd less often is nice. Dodging AoE and crit'ing for a bit more damage is nice too. It's a toss up, really.

You'll probably respec later anyway and right now your build is solid enough to keep you going for a while so I wouldn't bother with it unless you really have the spare money to spend.

For gear, Str/Agi is good. I love Stamina personally so I always end up with much. Good for surviving those bad pulls. Pure Str/Agi is ideal when you have someone else who takes hits for you, but for solo it's fine.

I'm not gonna break down into the best piece for each gear slot, but you seem to be on the right way.

Thanks for a long reply, was helpful.

As for choosing survival of the fittest, I don't regret it a bit. Less crits from mobs is very helpful.

every little bit helps really. whether its worth it or not is a matter of personal pref.

on a pvp server, id definetely spec SotF as soon as i could. its essentially ~80 free resilience in terms of the crit reduction effect, and it stacks with all other resilience (meaning you can get a pretty high -crit reduction), not to mention the higher base stats. for a pve server, id be less inclined to spec it until i was 70, since its mostly a tanking talent in that sense.
