Why can't I use a Sword?Follow

#1 Oct 23 2007 at 6:37 PM Rating: Decent
Please, forgive the very noobish post, I'm sure the answer is very obvious but I've only been playing for a couple of days. I've looked everywhere but can't find it. At the moment, my Paladin can use Hammers and Maces, but not a Sword. Is there a trainer I need to visit, or do I need to be a certain level to equip a Sword, currently Level 11.

Thanks in advance

Stormwind is correct, in the weapon store opposite the AH.

Also, talking to the weapon trainers will tell you what the other weapon trainers will train for you.

Pally's don't have that option. Same reason you can't use ranged weapons, staves, etc...

It would be cool, but not necessary for us.

What, this?

*Edit: I'm pretty sure he's a mage, not a warlock...

Why must my pedantry rule me so?

Dual Wield would be nice, but then we could dual wield 2 healing maces, and they would just get rid of Holy priests and resto everything. Then the world would be full of pallys and locks and a few rogues. Pvp servers would crash, anarchy would run rampant in the streets. Up would be down. Nachos would turtle soup. My god, it would chaos that rivals all that is magnificant.

If you want to get technical, shamans can dual wield healing maces. They just have to have a non-healing spec to do it. They could probably do the same for paladins if they wanted(dual wield retadins, maybe?) but I don't really see the point.
