Wand to right-clickFollow

#1 Oct 23 2007 at 5:55 PM Rating: Decent
Is there anyway to set wand attack to right click? I checked keybindings and found nothing.
It annoys me how all classes except casters have right-click to auto-attack with their strongest weapon.
Is there a reason for this or is blizzard being lazy?

step 1) bind a button on the action bar to right click
step 2) write a macro that decides when is the most appropriate time to use wand
step 3) profit

If you want a mage macro for wanding I suggest you check out wowwiki. and no its not that blizz is lazy there is a shoot wand ability in your spellbook, its just that mages are not meant to be using their wands as their main form of dps while HUNTERS (the only class with auto-shoot) do are.

#show Shoot
/cast [target=mouseover, harm, nodead][]shoot

basic macro will edit this later.

I think by default the mage is set as a "melee class" when you right click, much like a warrior. So when you right click a mob that's close to you, you'll automatically hit it with your staff/sword/dagger instead of your wand.

What you want is like saying a warrior right clicks and pulls out his gun for shooting.

No.
