After ****'in and moan'in about the effort it takes to gather the items, and get the final dreadsteed quest, allow me to pull my foot outta my mouth. OMG, what a freak'in kick in the pants. Even the party members that gave me a hand said it was one of the best scarps they'd ever been in. I'm not sure how long the fight lasted, but when it was over everyone was kinda in shock that we survived on the first attempt(Great healer). DO NOT PUT THIS OFF, but take a good group with ya. We ran with two 70 warriors, a 70 druid, 70 mage, and little ol' me, a 64 lock. the whole instance was still a challenge even with this group, and everyone got a decent drop or two. Not to mention my Epic!
#2REDACTED, Posted: Oct 23 2007 at 4:18 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Yeah, sorry for the flame but if you guys needed two 70 warriors a druid, a mage and a 64 warlock, you guys really suck at instancing, because I did that at level 60 with just level 60 friends, and i remember our tank being a 59 warrior, and yes it was a bit hard, but it wasnt that bad because we knew how to CC and stuff.

NP Flame'in Muffin....and gratz on doing it early, which is part of the point of my post. It was harder to get a group together that would run it, than all the quests together..LOL. Obviously we had the muscle to pull it off, and no one did the graveyard shuffle. The main point I'm trying to make is that the instance was fun, even with a pwr party. The drops were decent, the loot was good, and the mobs put up a fight. Did we melt them....yes, did we run it in record time....yes, did we have to do it.....No, only me. In fact, 3 of the lvl 70's had never even been there, which is another point of my post. When BC came out, people just passed it by, unless a Pali or Lock, and some of those even passed it.

Bottom line.....it was FUN!

I can't help myself but brag a little bit: I was lvl 67 affliction and my friend was lvl 70 frost mage when we completed the DM part of my dreadsteed quest :)

We wiped during the imp-part (after immorthal) when the bunch of dread guards spawned but apparently we managed to stay alive long enough, since we were to be able to summon the dreadsteed after we recovered our corpses. The dread guards were gone by then.

Not trying to play anyone down here, I would have preferred a bigger group. But if you (warlock who doesn't have the dreadsteed yet) are having trouble finding a group like I did, it might be worth knowing that the quest really can be accomplished without a full group. Even with two players ;)

edit: and like Hips said, it really was a fun quest :)

I agree, it was really fun. However, I went with a 70 and a 67 Hunter, a 70 Lock and a 70 priest while I was 67. W/o a tank this was extremely easy. How it was chellenging with 70's helping you was kind of baffling to me, until I read that you all got gear upgrades. Outlands drops are far better than the gear here, if you guys all got gear upgrades there, it's easy to see why it was somewhat challenging just getting through the instance. If things there were upgrades, your gear sucks. As I said, we made it through very easily w/o a real tank.

OK ya'll.....did I ever say "Difficult"......NOOOOO! Did I say Challenge....yes, but not all challenges are Difficult. I'm just saying it was really fun. No one in our group ever died, we did it in one run, and once again my point "We all had a blast"!

Who cares how and why is he a Scholar?
I never ever since I started visiting this page rated someone down. Even if I said I did.

It is really pathetic to see some people get worked up about colored title on some forum.
And I get so surprised why they get so worked up about stuff ingame..... stupid me, I should have learned by now that WoW > everything else, no?

I admit I am having RL tragedy at this moment that makes my usually low tolerance for silly kids even lower, but I still cant be anything else but disgusted with how much importance some of them pay to virtual world.

Its online, even more so, its WoW.... none cares. Get a life.

Ok, I edited my post, and changed the difficults, to challengings, however, that doesn't change the fact that one, I went with no real tank 3 70's and 2 67's and all the gear we saw we said "That's would have been nice if i had got it at 58" and that we pretty much walked through there and was not challenging at all.

Oh, for goodness sakes, would you people stop HENPECKING Hips and let him enjoy the fact that he HAD FUN and GOT HIS MOUNT!

GRATZ, Hip! Well done!

(now leave him alone - he's a cool poster and doesn't deserve all this nitpicking - nor did he deserve the ratedown (which I fixed)) GL!
