Not that we should be fighting pets that often (if ever), buuuuuut in the general 2.3 patch notes: "Pets will try to get behind their targets when engaging in melee combat"
Does this mean we will be continuously spinning in circles if engaged with a pet?

hopefully this will be only when the enemy isn't targeting the pet but if it's not then we're looking at a full on tango.

Me and blizzard are definitely on the same wavelength or something.

Last night while doing Headless Horseman i had a couple hunters in the group and their pets would just walk up to the boss and start wacking away. Well they got cleaved to bits in just a few seconds and i thought it would be nice if pets would attack from behind. I guess that was the point of the change, a good change at that for PvE really.

Also i was telling myself i needed to make some macros on my druid for shifting out of feral to heal and low and behold they make it auto shift in the next patch. :)

Hard to parry pets for easy ripostes now if they are behind you...

pets will only try to get behind mobs they do not have "aggro" from.

Well, in my opinion this is actually a good thing because when you fight pet classes in pvp you shouldn't be attacking the pet, you should go straight for the soft underbelly that is the pet's owner. The pet just gets in the way of targetting the owner.

Sometime it's worth the time to kill the pet. Against BM hunters, it can be very effective to kite their pet out of LoS and kill it, or simply kill it while somebody occupies the hunter. Mage elementals should always be killed, as they go down in a matter of a couple seconds, and that removes a huge portion of the mage's DPS.

Well, as a Hunter, I can't really see much of a PvP change from this. If you guys want to go after my pet, he will pretty much stay still until I give him a new order. If you are chasing me, he will be chewing your ***** Same as before, really.

This "buff" was made primarily to help Hunters in raids, because sicking a pet on certain bosses was just a very very stupid thing to do. Now they might actually survive long enough to do what they were intended to do all along. Provide a DoT on the target, and give the Ferocious Inspiration buff to the group if you were BM.

Besides, I'd think you guys were happy when you could finally Stealth/Vanish without our pet popping you guys back out quite so often. And to be honest, that was a "bug" I fervently wished to have removed myself. Nice in the odd PvP encounter, but it removed alot of the challenge I crave in PvP.
