+AP or +Crit Rating good for Mages?Follow

I wasn't sure exactly what these two do. I was hoping someone could explain because I got +10Crit rating on my gloves, but my crit percentage didn't go up. :/

Is attack power or crit rating a good stat for a fire mage?

Thanks.

Attack power is not good for mages. Crit rating isn't either(Spell Crit Rating on the other hand, is awesome).

Those are physical dps stats, mages are casters, we get spelldamage and spell crit rating instead.

Darn,

Sucks that i got scammed by a lvl 70 mage chanter. I would find it hard to believe he didn't know. Well, lesson learned. Thanks.

Not sure if you've changed it since this post, but your armoury is showing the +10 spell crit (I checked because i wasn't aware of a +10 melee crit). This should have an effect on your crit rate with spells. It just may be that it was only a small difference so you didn't notice it when you got the enchant done.

Are you checking your spells tab of the character screen? Or the melee tab?
Either way though, 10 crit isn't that much, and don't worry about whatever it cost either, it's nothing once you get higher level.
