When did maces...?Follow

I'm not an avid WoW player, and I have absolutely no knowledge behind the technical stuff of PvPing (don't hate, no flaming).

Now I know rogues that used maces were once laughed upon, but how long ago did the mace specs start appearing? All of the sudden it went from daggers => swords => maces.

What's all this fuss about? (I know it's an old topic, but I'm just trying to learn, ok?)

Maces really arose as a class leader with the advent of both arena and resilience, two events which combined resulted in rogues scrambling for viability.
