Oh god Im gonna die...
I just have one question. Do those dps numbers seem low to anyone else or am I interpreting it wrong? Seriously. DPS int the 200's? My level 59 druid is getting about 190 dps in moonkin, and I have no moonking gear on. If I get below 800 dps i beat myself up over it. Someone tell me that this is something other than what im thinking of.
The DPS listed is tooltip only. Your real DPS will always be higher, but it's safe to assume that in a vacuum, the person with the higher tooltip DPS will also have higher applied DPS.

*sigh* I've avoided this thread since I saw it was just another Specc vs Specc thread, without the hilarity of Spy vs Spy. Let's just bloody finish this thing quite simply with proven facts:
* Every single piece of math, and test proves that BM outDPS any other specc.
* Marksman has fallen after TBC came out, from best to merely decent.
* Survival is the best specc for Fivemans and one is needed for EW in raids.
Now shut the hell up. All of you. Caldone, over the time you have spent here, you have managed to claim that a BM pet can't hold aggro, that you out DPS a BM Hunter with similar gear, and that your specc is the best. Which means, you quite simply fail to realise certain proven facts. It makes for hilarity at times, but it is annoying when one person claims to know better than an entire Hunter community.
The rest: Shut the hell up as well! Everyone knows Caldone is a Marksman. I know I am a Surv Hunter. I know several of you are BM Hunters. WHO THE HELL GIVES A FLYING FUCK? The math has been done, the usefulness of the speccs have been debated in the past. Enough of this bullshit already. Play whatever the hell you want to play, and stop polluting this forum with something that is bound to do nothing but ressurect and rape ancient bloody discussions, before throwing them back into the grave!

North, I appreciate the attempt to stop the war, but the post is about as effective as a small hippie group protesting outside the White House. What we really need is a new sticky.
We don't have any up to date talent explanation and a "How to" guide that fairly represents each spec's pros and cons. If we have that, then the "other" spec posts will die down (not completely, but it will help some.) I suggest three differnt people write a guide about the one spec they know best. I'll gladly volunteer to do the BM part. I can promise you it won't be perfect, but that's why they let us edit posts. North is a highly educated poster, and since he mentioned he's SV, I believe he could easily make a great SV guide. Even for the MM part, I suggest Caldon writes it. Regardless of how vain he is, I'm sure his love for the MM spec has taught him enough how to play it effectivly. I'm not saying we're the only three that should make this, if anyone else has a burning desire to write a guide, or already has one written out, let us know! I understand I volunteered you two, and if you really don't want to do it, oh well. Hopefully someone will help out. I don't even think I have what it take to write a good guide, but i'll give it a shot.
Edit: I promise, on the guide i'll run it through the spell check five times before the final is ready. =p

Dps doesnt matter there (well, not really) and no one really cares about hunters uber leet AoE dps skills, there are warlocks and mages for that (hell, even paladins beat hunters for AoE)
And well, as far as i know the really high end raiding guilds dont have any marksmen amongst them.
They are all SV or BM i'd say thats for a reason.
Everyone else, /yawn we know this specwar stuff already.
Trying to **** off Caldone or other posters on this forum by saying their spec sucks isnt interesting. (North's secret dungeon of doom is much more interesting).
And besides that, only the regulars can tell caldone how bad his spec is.

BS! Every High End Raiding guild on my server has at least 2-3 Marksman that are in the groups doing Black Temple, SSC, and Mount Hyjal. They must be doing something right ;)

Right now I am working more on my Shammy to get her geared out, once I am done with that I will pull my hunter back and as I have already stated, I might try out Surv, when I have a ton of money to put into changing my gear around. I think I can do it with my current gear, just need to change the gems out.
