Should work, do you link skills through the spellbook by shift clicking? And are you typing stopcasting as one word?

You shouldn't need to link anything from your spellbook, just make sure you're spelling everything exactly as it is in the tooltip. I get annoying errors when I do it like you and kapot, so I use /castsequence instead. It requires multiple presses of the button you have the macro bound to, but just bind it to scroll up on your mouse wheel and it's nbd.

/stopcasting
/castsequence Arcane Power; Presence of Mind; Pyroblast

I have had a little bit of trouble with this method, which I think is related to the reset timer on the sequence (i.e. how long the game waits before reseting to the first action in the sequence). Not sure about the details on that though.

The macro I use is:

#showtooltip Pyroblast(rank 10)
/cast Arcane Power
/stopcasting
/cast (trinket name.I use Xi'ri's Gift)
/stopcasting
/cast Presence of Mind
/stopcasting
/cast Pyroblast(rank 10)

it works just fine with me.

Note that if you're using max rank spells, you can leave the (rank xx) out of #showtooltip in your macro. Same for the /cast parts. Can become precious on long macros getting close to the max characters limit.

Would this work on defensive spells, as all I can manage is getting the macro to cast the first spell using the above method. I Want to cast (after death):
Ice armor, Arcane Intellect and possibly then drink and eat to restore health.
Can anyone possibly show me the code for something like this?
Thanks

I doubt this would be possible due to the global cooldowns involved, though it might be with a castsequence macro, cause you'd be hitting the button multiple times.

#showtooltip
/castsequence [target=player] reset=10 Ice Armour; Arcane Intellect; Conjured <Water>; Conjured <Food>

Should work, just replace the food/water with whichever rank you have and click 4 times to do everything you want. If you don't click the macro for 10 secs it will reset (you can increase or decrease this number if you want).
Not sure about the target part, it goes either there or after the reset and is basically just there so it auto-casts AI on yourself rather than giving you a targetting option.
